I know I am going to sound like a bigot but screw it
I dont think it is right that they force women to cover up
I dont think that it is right that they can say anything about other religion unchallenged and cause an uproar if someone says something about theirs (The Mohamed news paper cartoon incident)
I dont think it's right that when we come into their countries we must respect their conditions yet they wont respect ours when they come to our countries and force us to change things to suit them
the most high profile example of this was when one Muslim employee at St James hospital (Catholic hospital) kicked up a huge fuss forced the hospital to remove all the Christmas decorations despite the fact that the majority of the staff and patients were Christian

As an atheist, I believe the religion is an option not a compulsory activity.

This is what I hate about, religion. In some countries, Christainity related people stand on the streets, 'Jesus sends you to heaven, Believe or suffer in hell' and I am walking by frowning, and going 'like the hell I will'
Once, a Christian on the street, told me to attend a church, I told them I was buddhist for the fun of it, and they said 'Jesus loves Buddhists too'

Musilm, Islam, Christianity etc might have different views now, but they seem to have very close origin, if not the same origin of the concept of one god. To atheist's view, all they are doing is fighting to see whose invisible friend is stronger. I don't care if someone believes in a religion, but I strongly hate it when they attempt to force it on to others, including me.

Amen!! And I mean that as if an epiphany was shown to me. I agree totally. I think whoever is in control ought to make the rules. If its a Christian, then have Christian decorations, if its a Buddhist, have Buddhist stuff up, Muslim Muslim stuff, and if you are atheist, then dont have any religious stuff up. I also think that just because you are allowed to have up your religious decorations that you should be able to peddle your religion on those in your business, unless you want to discriminate all those who are only your religion... which is technically illegal in the US, so they shouldnt be allowed to peddle their religions anywhere...

I guess this got off of topic a bit... back to topic then... I agree at how they (Muslims) dont respect any other religions but expect everyone to respect theirs.... thats a load of crap

Islam and Christianity believes in similar things for one instance is the angel Gabriel that both religion seemed to be fond of using, in Islam he is the divine messenger and in Christianity he is still the divine messenger....

now back to topic well I do not deny that fact that some Muslims do not respect other religions...in fact a disturbing issue regarding people working in a Muslim run country states that they can not celebrate their religion's holiday as it is strictly forbidden

To say that islam doesn't respect other religions must be based on scientifical evidences. To measure islam with muslims is a very scientifical way???
What do you know about islam? For sure nothing.
What are the sources on which islam is based? Only the quran??? False.
Since you claim that being atheist is the only choice if you want to be logical all the way in all your choices, then stick at least to this principle.

Concerning islam and christianity: It's not like they seem to have the same origin. They have the same origin.
But christianity was altered by humans because the cristians didn't care to preserve the pure source for their religion which is not the case with muslims because they have optimized a whole science that enables us to determine whether the prophet or anybody else who has to do with religion said a precise given sentence or not.
This is logical: not to accept anything from anybody just because he said it.

To the intelligent atheists: It's not an attack but a call to think more about it: If your theory is right then you will be after death safe but also the muslim because there would be no god to judge either you or him. But if the muslim is right then he will be safe after death but your surprise will not be so sweet.

If you want to be as logical and as scientific as possible then at least have a look at the evidences of both sides.

If it's a call: I am hanging up, the link doesn't look atheist friendly. I don't care what religion it is, like I already said. I will show respect, if needed. But, I don't plan to join in with any religious reason.

Religion is the perfect chain letter. You spread this religion to everyone around you: if you don't something horrible might happen or not happen in the after-life.
People who must be writing the chain letters now, must be the descendants who wrote their 'sacred' texts back in the seriously old days.

Let me make my statement clear, for those that think I am being hateful of one particular religion: I don't hate Muslims, Islams nor do I think they are disrespectful particularly (not yet anyway). I think any and (nearly) every religion does.

It's just another religion. Just because someone is Muslim, I shouldn't expect to see them go carry a bomb to the nearest store or something. It's just the extremists that I don't like, but there are always extremists in every religion.

Islam: A religion, and ABUSED religion in Malaysia in terms of governing.
Muslims: Yeah, they really look down on you here, and treat you like feaces even if they're nothing better themselves.

At these times I thank the USA and Spain from keeping my land free from islamic majority. Muslims in the Philippines are as harmless as meek vendors of pirated DVD's.

I myself am atheist (more of a christian apostate) and I don't hate muslims, but I don't like the way clerics try to control the lives of the muslim. They say "allah says allah says" when in fact it is them who is babbling all the shit about dress codes, dietary laws and jihad.

If I had to choose between God and Liberty then fuck god, I'll take liberty.
