| ∞ Spam Dance Queen ∞ ![]() | Oh, I'm so tired of this discussion.... makes me feel as if I'm fifteen again.... well, gotta say I love weed, and it didn't stop me from having a life or something. Before I started smoking weed a was far more aggressive than I'm now... but I dunno if that's the only reason.... with weed or dope it's the same as with other addictive stuff: You gotta watch yourself, and stay in control. My fav example is those WoW addicted gamers who told me I was a drug addict and then lost their friends and their lives to that game.... As long as there are persons and other things that are more important to you than the drug, whether it's weed or a game or sports or whatnot, you have a fair chance that you won't wind up alone, dumb and without goals for your life. That's my opinion anyways. I think they should legalize it, else we'll never stop driving over to holland to get some lol |

I agree. Like alcohol if used responsibly it does not effect your life. On the other hand if you are toking up every hour or everyday well then obviously it is going to get in the way. @reapid: I looked at the video and I am not going to argue with science, but from personal experience and talking to others I still think toacco is more addictive.

| Chaos | Its like beer, used in moderation its a good experience, i smoked it from 13 to 19. It is very easily dropped when used sensibly i still smoke cigarettes which are far harder to give up (although now ive decided what the hell ill stop trying to give up and continue something i like) Thats all on this subject as those against will only come up with the same, wrong answers. (the braincells, the more addictive, the funniest 'gateway' drug argument, which if to be believed all us that have smoked it or still smoke it should be raging smack heads stabbing people for a fix by now.. ect)

| noob 4 life | In Australia, possession of Marijuana isn't a criminal offense. Selling is, however. if you are caught with "pot" then it will be confiscated and u will be fined, released and sent to go and be caught again. the govt makes money out of the fines. If it were to be legalized then that govt income would cease. Pot is a very difficult business to tax. it is simply a plant. it can be grown in any soil with little light and it simply needs to be dried for consumption. if it were legalized then the fines for selling would more-than-likely, increase (eg. growing tobacco is extremely illegal) before any reform can be considered, first a regulatory body would need to solve the problem of "home grown" and set up a registration body for sellers. a taxation system would need t be put in place and regulation of price would also need to be installed along with quality control. A very complicated process. As far as effects go, i do enjoy a little pot in moderation. it relaxes me, helps me access my artistic nature and relieves my anxiety. it is very easy to abuse as are all drugs (ie alcohol). one benifet that it has is that it reduces aggression, unlike alcohol. but it also makes people extremely lazy which isn't good for general population from an national economy stand point. It also causes cancer and has much harsher negative effects than tobacco. the drug (THC tetra-hydra-cloride or something) stays in a humans system for 4days to 3 months, having a continuing effect. coming down can make people very grumpy. it is in itself NOT ADDICTIVE, however the effects of coming down often include a psychological effect, "if i have more pot then i wont feel so bad". I am undecided in my opinion of Marijuana but i do know that it can be enjoyed responsibly. but responsible is a big word!
