It's totally ok. I actually just checked this today. xD I have been busy with the upcoming Holidays, the move, and shopping for the move, LOL.

Yeah, I feel like everyone has either gone through that 'null' phase, or they're going through it now. I can tell you, that things always get better. For me, the past five years were really my 'meh wtf am I doing years', whereas now it's all starting to come together slowly. :D Any branch of the Military can be a good experience, if you're into that sort of thing. I did it, but I would never go back : simply because of the sheer freedom I have now. So that engineering degree sometimes looks really good in terms of being in charge of yourself. :P
