Yep, that's me, Heathen Girl:) Haha, I'm a book whore, too. I rarely lend my books out to anyone for fear that they won't be returned...I lent a girl one of my books in seventh grade and she never talked to me again, gave me a false cell number and email....yeah, she keeps trying to add me on facebook and I'm like, "Hell no, book thief." Three years later...
I request books from my online catalog all the time. How else am I going to get the good ones? Lol.
  2. You never checked the library! Heathen!
    Na I'm just shitten you.
Though I am rather surprised- so I guess being a book whore paid off. :)
But yah..My library lets me takes out books for two weeks, and at request a month- I can renue up to three times as long as there ain't any hold on the book I want to renue.
Have you ever requested at a online catalog from your library?(If you don't know most library's have websites you and usually find them though googleing- "Insert county here" library)I often get books from there catalog to get sent to the branch I go to on there or put a book on hold.

I probably did get your email. But I haven't looked in two or three days- so I'll go check & reply after I post this.

Ooh, I never thought about looking in the library for new things to do....
Haha, something to look for the next time I go...How long does your library let you borrow books for? Mine only lets us have two weeks, but we can extend it if we want to.
Just wondering: Did you get my email? I might have put it in wrong so I wondered...
  4. I could give you a couple sites for info if you want. Like for hand spinning I found this site:
    http://www.joyofhandspinning.com/
I tells all about hand spinning and spinning wheels

I'm also taking this book Twined Rag Rugs:Tradition in the Making from the library to learn twining. The reviews on it say it's really good.

You got the PM! That's good.
  5. Na I usually just teach myself how to do things and find information on them from different places(InternetLibraryect). I actully only really got into crafts a couple months ago, before that I mostly just read..and read...and read(A lot of I actually being fanfiction.) and looked around online alot to- I usually come across things that are interesting and research things if I get interested enough in(Like for example home wheat grinding and Mythology involving hair) I might actually eventually get into (after I learn how to do twining and have the money for it) get into hand spinning but I dought I'll start for a 6 months or so.
I know what you mean about being bored. When I get like that I like to bake but often we can't afford my baking sprees :) . Russin tea cakes are some of my favorite cookies to make- even though there a bit labor intensive because of all the arm muscle that has to be used when making them. :)

You're so crafty! Do you have somebody to teach you or do you learn from online? If so, could you share a couple of websites? I get bored easily and am constantly looking for new things to try, that's why crafts are great, because you always create something different.
  8. You didn't get my email? Weird, I must of done the PM thing wrong. I'll try again.

You made your own loom. Cool! I just bought one. A set of 4 round looms at a craft store-my dad's girlfriend paid for it since I don't money outside of holidays(Birthday & Christmas).

I'm actually going to teach myself how to do twining- or making rag rugs. It's really cool cuz you rip any spare fabric you have into strips and twin it together using a wood frame. I'm planning on using Christmas money (assuming I get money and not a gift card for Barnes & Nobles) to get a couple of two-by-fours for the frame(I would have used the lumber we had at in the back yard over but Dad told me not to use it as contains arsenic from being treated) and if necessary construction glue to connect them (I might have nails that will work in the basement).

Oh I forgot to tell you that I remember that I have worked on a loom before. In fifth grade art class, our teacher had us loom bookmarks. But I remembered how we created the looms. It was very crude, but it worked; so, instead of knitting a scarf, I decided to loom one. At least it will be even, lol. I think it's a bit short, but I had no money left to buy a loom so I created one. I'll send you a picture sometime:)

A pillow, over the summer. Before that I sewed a purse for my cousin. But the pillow I'm saving for a friend for Christmas, because the fabric has a cartoon character she likes so I'm waiting to give it to her...Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I didn't get your email, so I'll send you mine, okay?
