Claymore: episode 25 “For Whose Sake” 誰が為に
I really can’t say much for the story since it feels like a rehash of the Ligardes fight (enemy powers up, Clare’s friends go down, Clare powers up). If you look at it from a high enough level, it sounds very much like any other action-heavy shounen-oriented show, but I thought the way they executed it - mainly the animation quality - was exceptional. Aside from that though, I didn’t find that much to get excited about, though I am quite curious to see what happens to all the characters in the final episode. It doesn’t seem like it’s possible for them to end it in a completely satisfactory manner because there’s too many loose ends in terms of Isley, Riful, and even the sinister Organization. Hopefully they’ll give at least

I personally loved the first season of Claymore. The last ep was a little let down, but it wasn't that bad. But omg how i hate Raki, he's just so useless, always crying and whining.. Most of the people are guessing that if the's going to a second season it would appear around 2010. This is due to lack of material.

I watched the first 10 eps, and then read the manga as I'm a fairly impatient person. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of episode 22+ as it diverged from the amazing plot line already laid out by the manga, and the last episode in particular is too DBZ for my liking.

However with that said I will eagerly await season 2 in 2010 as I hope they will re-align themselves with the manga.

Yeah I agree Priscilla was way too weak in the anime

sure the form she took to defeat pricilla is the one she had to use against Rigardo in the manga

It's not even just the fact Priscilla was too weak...

They changed the fight systems they had before, going flight happy, and making them "power up." Also, they lose that cool side of the story where they become renegades and begin to fight against the Company... and all the stuff coming out in the mangas that I still adore.

I'm a huge DBZ fan and it really pisses me off when animes try to rip it off to boost their popularity.
I mean the manga has a brilliant story line with great dept a character development so why did they have to put the DBZ rip offs into the anime were they afraid the story wouldn't succeed on it's own merits?

I think that the DBZ stunts and power ups only really works for it. The many other anime that add bitz of DBZ's traits often feel odd, or just weird, and the last episode is a clear example of this.

I wished the anime followed the manga and they put out more eps. The first season was great till it diverged. Hope they find a way to continue on with more.

One thing that pisses me if is people always saying Raki ruins the series and that he's a big looser there are a few things I would like to say in his defense.

Firstly he went one on one with Ophelia and didn't even hint that he was in pain when she slashed him up so Clair wouldn't be distracted while she tried to heal herself. Secondly when people call him a big cry baby of course he'll get upset if he's separated from Clair and of course he wants to become strong enough to protect her he already lost his family and she's all he has.

If you hate him you should hate Clair too because he is just like Clair was as a child with Theresa accept he's not prepaired to wait for Clair to be killed before he picks up a sword.
