So, I heard about this anime and I wnt to know: is it worth watching?

and if you find it good then I will recommend you tengou tenje im not sure of the spelling lol
It is a good anime with some ecchi in it now I especially enjoyed the Dragon Destiny one since Kanu was there and shes hot <3

season one isn't the best
but season 2 called Ikki Tousen Dragon Destiny is great
it follows the manga closer
and the animation matches my sigs and avatar

Well it was the manga that got me into it
I heard the story was based off Romance of the 3 Kingdoms
and I was a big Dynasty Warriors fan back in the day
The manga is a must read in my opinion
Good story great comedy and one liners
excellent battle scenes
and of course hot girls getting their cloths ripped off

Other than the sexy babes, i don't find this anime worth watching. Why? The storyline is just not that great, for me at least. I had to spend almost 12 hours watching 2 anime series with lots of meaningless fightings and boring story. Someone who enjoys nothing but actions might love it but not me. Another stupid thing about that series is, the students weren't go to school to study, but to fight. I was like what the #%$@?! What happen to the teachers? The cops? They killed people like it's nothing big. What about the family of the ones they killed? It's ridiculously ridiculous. Really.

Oh heck yeah this anime is worth watching big time, Love all those pantie shots, when the chicks fight they lose part of their clothes and you could almost see some cleavage, it's a pretty cool fighing anime that teases you...while giving you a great quality anime, a must watch for everyone...

The story is based off Romance of the 3 kingdoms
It's an ancient historical novel about the time when China was divided into 3 separate waring factions

Ikki tousen adapts it for modernization by having the souls of the warriors from the 3 kingdoms war trapped inside the magtama and shipped to Japan at some stage in the past
The magtama are passed down from generation to generation
and those that wear them become toshi
and are doomed to re - live the experiences of the spirit in the magtama.

the schools the toshi attend were set up to represent the nations of the divided China
Wu, Wei, and Shu, (the 3 kingdoms) the other high schools represent factions that appeared and quickly fell around the time of the Yellow Turban rebellion
which school you attend depends on the allegiance of the spirit in your magtama.
The reasons the toshi attend these schools is to keep the damage limited to toshi and not ordinary citizens.
They dont really care about who gets killed because teir faith is predetermined by their magtamas

As for not seeing them in class well thats not what the anime/manga is about it's about the war.
The cops do try to break up the fights we saw this in season one with the tournament being held in secret locations
and we see it even more so in the manga
but when it comes to the aftermath they turn a blind eye because it was faithed to happen

aside from that how many animes of that style do you see involving violence do you see the cops coming around doing investigations unless the story it's self is a police/detective drama or it is set in real life circumstances

I'll admit the anime was too short to do any justice to the manga
but by no means should the manga be judged by the anime
the story is far more well developed and complicated
