hey sano i made up some rulez for GFX battles on another website...
i can copy paste them to here if you want to use those...

here they are:


Attention GFX battlers! now u can go head to head with anyone on the site!
Just follow these guide lines when making ur sig battle thread:

topic name
If you are calling some one out simply incorporate their name into the topic name.
If you are accepting any challenger to come your way then simply add (O) to the end of the topic name.

examples
I call out lHack Dragonl!
I challenge Qasvortex!
Death Note Battle(O)
Gimp user sqare off! (O)

guide lines that must be filled out when setting up a battle:

Theme: any, none, death note, goku, abstract <--- examples of themes

Size: 400x150, 500x150, 800x600, 800x100, 100x100 <--- examples of sizes they can range from small avatars to large wallpapers

Time: 1 week, 1 day, 5 hours from now, premade <--- examples of time limits

any other specifications can be added to increase the difficulty of the gfx battle to ur liking...
for example you can say that you and the opponent can only use one batch of colors like red, bluea nd green... or you can make it monotone... or black and white... you can specify not smudging or fadeing... you can even suggest the use of one set of brushes... or even just one brush...

GFX will be voted on by fellow AM members
contestants cannot vote!
topic should not be in poll form!!!!
voters must state valid reasons for their choice
a simple i vote for this one will not be accepted...
you must state the reason!
then after ur vote u state the current voting standing

example:
i vote for qas because it appeals to my eyes and the bg is very well color coordinated!
1-2 in favor of qas!

the contestant with 5 more votes than his/her opponent will win by mercy rule!
voting is always first to 10 votes
after 10 votes is reached the topic will be closed and one contestant declared the winner!

if we leave it in pool form ppl can be stupid and pick one at random
or pick one with no reason to back it...

Thanks for those suggestions blackhack. I will defiently change things around a little. I want to see how things go for a bit though. If possible I would like this thread and PMs to be used to call people out. But if that doesn't seem to be working will I like you method for calling people out. I would like to avoid the clutter of challenge threads though. Just the threads for the vote will be enough. It is up to the people in the competition how the vote goes. If you don't want a poll, you are free to set any type of voting method. The way I see it you can use a poll, do it your way, or have a selected panel of judges who vote.
