    My groups

    Default AnimeA - Scan Group

    We decided to make a scan group on AnimeA.

    We are at the start of this, no staff has been selected yet.

    We haven't decided what projects we will take yet - depends and if we will success in making this scan group and also on what the staff will want to do - . Also, we are open for recommendations.

    We don't offer credits for this; it's only a "fan for fan&fun" group. Anyway, if you are interested in joining us, you're welcomed here.
    What we need and what you can do:

    Translators

    CHINESE, JAPANESE, & KOREAN translators! You do not need previous experience in translating mangas/manhwas/manhuas (it would be good if you did have some experience), but don't come with something like: "I don't know a word in that language, but I can use google to translate". At this moment there is no J-E, K-E and C-E translator's test (maybe we will need one).

    Editors

    Same as the translators post, you do not need previous experience. We are also willing to train any editors with potential as long as you know how to use Photoshop.

    Duties:

    1. Crop,rotate and level the pages;
    2. Clean the pages [gutters, dirt, and text];
    3. SFX [clean and clone back the areas covered with SFX] -this depends on the manga- ;

    Typesetters

    Duties:
    1. Type the English text in the right place;
    2. Make sure that all the text is set on Smooth;

    Proofreaders

    (need to know the language of the raw)

    Duties: Make sure that:
    1. There are No Spelling mistakes;
    2. The words are correct [e.g.: you're - your];
    3. The sentences flow and have correct punctuation;

    Quality Checkers

    Duties:

    1. Spelling or Grammatical errors;
    2. Text is centered or not;
    3. Leftover dirt or gutters;
    4. Overlevelling;

    Cleaners

    Duties:
    1. Crop,rotate and level the pages;
    2. Clean the pages [gutters, dirt, and text];
    3. SFX [clean and clone back the areas covered with SFX] -this depends on the manga- ;

    Scanners

    We need something to translate, right?
    We are looking for HQ scans! If you have HQ scans to a project that is currently not translated (or is dropped) by other scan group/groups we can take it in consideration.

    We can cover the funds of the raws if that is needed. (Need the receipts).

    Interested in our request?

    Thread opened for any questions regarding this idea.

    I have some Japanese mangas that I wanna do, but I can't translate. Also, I'm in a group already, so do you do joint-project? But I dunno if it's joint-project or not since I'm only able to scan them in.

    Well Hana tell us in detail about this manga series you wish to do as a joint-project
    also the name and policies of your scantalation group.

    Well if you just scan them in you will be the RAW provider , I dont think that alone make it a joint project. Also remember that our policy is " fan to fan " , which is explained on first post.

    Well, the group name is ProcrastinatorsUnite. It's pretty much only me since my translator and others got busy with their life, so I'm only scanning viz's mangas up. I was thinking of redoing Tokyo Crazy Paradise from v8 to help replace the LQ versions of them. So I dunno if you are gonna be interested since they had been translated already in the past.

    The fact is that we want to make, firstly, some projects that have been dropped and really have a lot of fans.
    Making something in HQ because is now on LQ wasn't on our thoughts.
    Is we will do something like that, we will contact you.
    So now our answer is no.

    I think that this is a really cool, idea, and I would love to help in any way that I can. Personally, I would really like to see Kotaro Makaritoru be picked up. As far as duties go, I have no experience, but I could do things such as quality checking and possibly editing.

    Default Japanese translator

    Hi, I wouldn't mind doing Japanese-English translation. I am working as a translator at the moment (only English-Spanish/Catalan), I am a native Spanish but I am fluent in English, so as long as there is a proofreader to check my English, it should be fine! ^_^

    My experience with Japanese is five years studying it and I am currently living in Japan.
