Ok, so to help you guys out a bit I will copy this simple guide I made on AnimeAlliance on how to use mIRC. Do note that the images are old but they can still help you.

First you go to http://mirc.com and download the mIRC client: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2.../mircguide.jpg

After downloading it you install it like a normal Windows application, if you don't know how to install a program in Windows please return your PC/Laptop at the place you bought is because you don't deserve a PC/Laptop.

Now, after installing you open the program: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...mircguide2.jpg

Now you click: File>Select Server>Add

Type in the information for the server like:

Description: Rizon
IRC Server: irc.rizon.net
Ports: 6667
Group: -Optional-
Password: -Optional-

Double-click at the server you just added then you will get to a window like shown in this screenshot: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...mircguide4.jpg

Click "Connect" and wait for it to connect to the server. After having connected a window will pop up and it will allow you to join a channel, type in "AnimeA" at the popup window: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...mircguide5.jpg

It will then join the channel you typed it, to join more channels just type in "/join #channel" without the " : http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...mircguide6.jpg

Some commands you should know about:

/join #channel (Joins another channel)
/quit (Quits the server)
/ns register <password> <email> (for example /ns register 123abc shashi@animealliance.eu and it will register your username)
/ns identify <password> (This will log you in with your username, exampel; /ns identify 123abc)

I think I have mIRC for over 500 days and it's constantly asking me to register... However I do not have 20-30 dollars to waste on such a thing xD
Just install it and gogogo... It's not like it will ban u access after 30 days ^^

I see, I installed it and got that 30 day thing, so I un-installed it next day, xD
So its like in WinRAR, lol
