Review : The anime takes place in Japan on the island of Hokaido,and is centered around two high school students Shuuji and Chise.Chise is a shy and timid girl who has had fellings for Shuuji for quite some time,and finally got the courage to confess,which Shuuji accepts.Some time has passed since then , Shuuji while on a visit to Sapporo with friends is caught up in a sudden enemy air raid,in which his friends are killed.Shuuji,in shock of the situation is saved from further harm by Chise as she shot down enemy planes with a gun that looked like it was part of her body ,a site he could not believe.She later revels to him that she is an ultimate weapon in defense of "the enemy".But surprisingly Shuuji accept Chise for all her faults and virtue ,cuz that is what love is about.As the war progresses each day and gets worse by passing minute,Chise struggles to continue (what's left of) her past-normal life,which was carefree and filled with love.Which is now slowly being replaced by malice and hate ,as she becomes less human and more of a weapon.But true love is much stronger just physical bonds and flesh,as Shuuji reminds Chise and strives to bring her happiness in any way.

My impressions : The story is set modern day Japan during a huge war that engulfs the whole of mankind,in which the setting is not centered around the war or the millitary but two students who just happened to fall in love,and are being torn apart by war and meaningless disputes.And this story is a reminder to all that with love ,people can overcome all adversaries.

its looks much cooler in the Anime......i red the Manga but not all of it just maybe one chapter...i didn't like the art and the story was so sad..so i just give up reading the rest.........

but seems as of i see Now based on the pic......the Anime is really different.....I will give it try......thanks for the review ^_^

I have to admit that I haven't seen all episodes, but I've read the manga and the special oneshot and also seen the 2OVAs and they were great. It's a seria that deserves your attention. I recommend it.

! Don't really know about the anime that much, the OVAs are okay, just say like 16+ (age), but for the manga really has to be 18+.
