ok so I'm announcing our very first competition for prizes
rules of this competition can be read in RULES OF CONTESTS, MUST READ part in Rules and regulations thread

Theme will be hands and feet
So the goal is to take pictures of hands that are working, resting or interacting with objects, same goes for feet. You don't have to have both hands and feet in the same photograph, it is enough to have just 1 of them. Compositions don't have to be close ups of hands (feet), but you must make it really obvious that hands (or feet) are the main topic of the photograph.

Photography of the month will starting Saturday 4thd of April ending Tuesday 4th of May in midnight UT time.
All photographs (better to say links to the photographs) must be sent to me via pm no later then Tuesday 4th of May in midnight UT. 1 week after that we will hold a voting and after that we will pronnounce the competition and close the thread.

If there is anything unclear, please ask your questions in Photography thread, or just post a note at my profile or pm me or ask away in photography group page.

Okay its seems no one have gave a second Opinion, so it was kind of hard for me to decide -.-", but maybe this one would be more challenging, coz here we want to catch the feeling and you can chose any subject suited for the feeling you want to show so the home week assignment would be as if folows, we finshed:
1.Movement.
2. Blurriness.

4. People
5.Laptop/Computer

and for this weekend, theTheme would be: Scary

Time is given, until Friday 17\4\2010, at midnight.

so you take picture of plants and post it in "Photography" thread no later then midnight 26th of April

ah new weekly homework and I didn't participate......again -.-'

EDIT:
the homework ends Tuesday 4th of May in midnight UT time. (since it's only 1 day after the 7 days deadline and then I have to post the hands photography of the month contest so I thought it would be nice to round it all up ^^)

and I have to apologize to all that I held up the entire homework for 3 days and then I didn't post any pics T_T

ok so a quick announcement
star me and talass got kind of bored thinking of topics every time so we chose 3 topics in advance to shorten our troubles for a while

future topics:
1. COLOURS - from 4th of may to 11th of may
2. BLACK & WHITE - from 11th of may to 18th of may
3. SHADOWS - from 18th of may to 25th of may

colours - the topic is colours, so try to have something really colourful in your picture, or an coloured object in an otherwise dull enviroment
black & white - only black and white photography accepted, anything can be in it as long as it's a b&w pic, if you're having troubles with turning images bw it's best to google for it, but here's how it's done:

in photoshop:

you can open your channel mixer in Image --> Adjustments --> (somewhere in the middle of the list) Channel mixer

for ACDSee:
go to edit mode --> colours --> HSL --> go to saturation bar (the middle one) and pull it down to 0)

Shadows --> pic of shadows that's pretty clear I think

make sure you check our group page from time to time, and only 3 more day to our very 1st contest for prizes!
