1. OUR NEW SIG

yep we got new sig thanks to darky , wear it proudly if you want this is the link:

ok ok, settle down, I know last POTM was quite something, we had our 1st draw and we had to start a new poll to solve the dilema
well I hope the next one will be as exciting but without the draw xD

well anyhow I'm posting today to announce the

TOPIC FOR THE NEXT CONTEST - ARCHITECTURE
which will last from 28.6 to 28.7 midnight GMT time, so you have that time to take the pic and pm it to me (ljetibo)

well so basically buildings, houses, statues and a lot of other stuff comes in as an option, you can picture them whole, or just the most interesting part of them, it isn't even required that we recognize what is it as long as it's at least bit obvious that it was man-built

first an official apology about the missed date of posting, I'm responsible for that. It also seems that I managed to harm couple of people that wanted to post their photos and to them I'd like to say I'm sorry one more time.

well on a different note, NEXT 3 TOPICS for homework are:

Date: 14.09 ---> 21.09.
well this is really wide and easy topic so use your imagination and make some wonderful photos

Theme: Reflections
Date:22.09 ---> 29.09.
I hope it's pretty clear, so reflections from glass, water, and other liquid or reflective surface, this one enables you to make your images really distorted so don't forget to experiment

Theme: Architecture
Date: 30.09 ---> 07.10.
well this is a known topic so just like you did for the competition you have to do now, make pictures of anything man made


well what else to say but to watch out since this months contest is going to be over soon so we're going to post a new announcement about the next competition, and don't forget to do the homework since it's a way you practice for the competition

hmm, so 5th contest theme is out, following the rules it was chosen by the winner of the last contest which was talassa

Contest theme: REFLECTIONS
Deadline: 17.09 to 17.10

so it's 6th already, hope you have something in store for tomorrows homework
in meanwhile to pass the day I'm announcing the next three topics for homework....

Theme:Grains
Date: 08 ---> 15.10
Explanation: Grainy matter like stones, beans etc..... Topic was chosen according to Graphic Artists of Animea thread so if you do this homework don't forget to follow that thread


Theme:Fences
Date: 16 ---> 23.10
Explanation: Fences as in objects that prevent other objects/living being entering it's content. You can take this topic literally or you can use some romantic ideas and reasoning and try to find fences somewhere else.


Theme: Slow shutter speed
Date: 24 ---> 31.10
Explanation: I think it's best we say anything slower/equal then/to 1/60th of a second because that's the speed where blurriness caused by shaking hands start. However this does not mean that you absolutely MUST shoot in night time using exposures of over a second. If you have a bit of imagination you'll try using longer exposures to show movement, or generally changes in surrounding environment (whether that change is caused by your movement or by the moving objects.

this months topic are not as easy as lasts months topics for homework so take your time and do not feel obligated to post 3 pictures, 1 picture is as good as 10 of them
don't forget to have fun in the process because unlike some arts photography is an art where you have to go out observe and document the world around you which not only is time consuming but it's a hard one as well
take your time plan you sessions couple of days ahead and try to make sure you won't have to rush back home while you're taking photos for whatever reason because when you are able to focus and think without stressing yourself about your everyday life and obligations you'll make a lot better photos (not to mention that after that you'll feel refreshed because you where able to forget about school, work, family etc...)
