    You could get both. lol That's what I did. 8 mega pixel camera and 5 megapixel phone. But I use my mobile phone as a camera more than my camera. My camera I only take with me if I'm going somewhere specific, like holidays or something.

    I've already got the cameras (film and digital) so all I want in a telephone would be to make and receive calls anyway. mind you I have done without a mobile for a number of years now anyway.

    Yeah, both. That's the best if you can afford both that is. Camera for holidays and a mobilephone for those memorable funny moments of your daily doings and candid pictures. I've decided to go for both. Will get the Nokia 8 MP one. Been out for awhile, should be cheap.

    My mobile phone camera may not be as good as a digital camera but its photos are just about good enough to use on social sites, icons, etc.

    It all depends on the image quality, if you want decent quality pictures and you have the budget, get a 5mp camera on a smart phone (also ad in the convenient factor like you said) they take very nice pictures and the price are not too expensive on t hose phones. Hope this helps!
