I feel your pain I only started my course this week and already I have a massive work load heaped on me. I have to examine a 60 page report on road traffic accidents and work related illnesses to find a niche on which I can do dissertation and they want my dissertation proposal by Monday -.-

6k word essay due tomorrow on the fundamentals of South East Asian Politics (countries like Laos, Cambodia, Thailand.. not the Philippines for some reason)
Sigh it feels like forever I am always cramming into any assessment task even though I start on the day it's given.

I just had a nose bleed and bled on the carpet and it wont come out >_< landlord will kill me going to have to get some proper carpet cleaner >_<

@Aurachan: you lack murder experience to get blood stains out of carpets ...I'm sure you'll manage to get it out eventually :D

Feeling the pressure, my program isn't bug-less yet, in fact is't full of bugs, have to fix them quick before the end of the day, then star writing a users manual & my internship report and have it all finished by monday >.<

What troubles me in my life is I find that I am unable to socialize, online & IRL ever since middle school.

Though I understand that socializing is important, I can't get to know anyone for long before they bail on me, ignore me.

I also find that people tend to alienate me on purpose and cut me off from any source of communication.

All of that has caused me unable to function and become stupid. This is because studies have shown people who socialize and stuff are more intelligent and well organized and stuff, well generally brighter not to mention they have many friends.

Since I am in university now, people tend to judge who to socialize with based on what merit they can give them, e.g presidents of clubs and such to get into a committee to earn hostel points (higher hostel point = easier to get hostel) e.g.2 staffs to get good easy and high paying (unadvertised because always taken beforehand) part time jobs.

i feel your pain man, had some rough times with that issue. but is had some good friends that helped me with that. anyway, i still have problems with this so can't really help you, only say that i know how you feel.
it's weird that people in university are judging people like you describe it. here it's only about "who can i have fun with", "who can i study with" or "who can i live with". maybe it's related to the army(it's mandatory in here), it changes people.

as for my problems... well, the army. yeah the IDF is all strong and mighty but really it's a shitty system. i think that some israelis hate it more than the arabs hate it.

they barley pay, 70-90$ a month. what the hell am i supposed to do with that? that's barely the money i spend on cigarettes. you cant get a job cuase you're only home for 4-8 days a month and sometimes not even that and even if someone is willing to employ you you need to have a special permission from a high ranking officer who really doesnt give a damn about you.
your work(more like slavery) is basically everything. you have you're "official" job, which is about 11 hours a day(sometimes even more, and if you're a combatant, ALL DAY). random stuff like guard duty, washing dishes and anything they(your commanders and officers) want you to do, even things you're not allowed to do.
medical services in the army suck hard(and you're not allowed to go anywhere else), if you dont have something that'll kill you like cancer or aids, they wont really care and even then they just throw you out of the army so they wont have to your insurance money.
you can go to prison for stupid stuff like not shaving "good enough" in the morning.
the food sucks.
the "commanders" are 19 years old, and the officers are people that know they have no future in "real life"(how life after the army is called here) so they stay in the army and put regular soldiers through hell.

My Dad is a Principle of a high school, and I found out last night that one of the students committed suicide. =/ I'm not sure if I'm allowed to divulge information about it on the net, but I'm extremely sad about it.

I have a very personal hatred towards suicide.... I hate losing people, especially when they feel so helpless or lost that they have to take their own lives. I wish there was something I could have done to prevent it. I feel this way about all suicides. I know it's naive and stupid to think thoughts like this, but at times I wish I could hug every child in the world and tell them not to give up. I wish I could do something more than just watch the stupid news and hear about people dying everyday. =/ I wish there was something that I could do or say to help them through stuff.

It just sucks. Even if you don't have any religion, I'd like to ask you as fellow humans to send positive wishes to her and her family members and friends. Thanks.
