Review: Yamato Akitsuki travels to Tokyo alone to study in one of the high schools located within the area. He lives in with his aunt who operates a public bath solely for the ladies in the local district and begins his normal high-school life. One day, he chances upon a girl in school and is immediately mesmerised by her beauty. He is shocked when he realise later that the girl, Suzuka, is actually living next door to him. From then on, Yamato's ordinary life begins to change little by little.

Review: Are you ready to laugh? Then switch your brains on, because the culturally literate humor of Gintama operates on a different level. On the surface, it may look like just another one of those "Ha ha look at silly people do silly things" comedies, but observant readers will laugh all the more because of the series' satirical edge. Volume 5's objects of ridicule include the following: beach episodes, J-horror clichés, Shounen Jump's obsession with powerful weapons, home shopping TV channels, yanki biker gangs, geisha culture, gay culture, kunoichi, and—in the author's notes—irritating readers who nitpick historical facts. But while there are plenty of laughs to be found, there really isn't a whole lot of plot, and the artwork can look stiff and confusing at times. Well, there's no such thing as perfect, right? Edo-period Japan is in a state of culture shock: aliens have invaded, taken all the jobs, and made the samurai powerless by confiscating their swords. Amidst this collision of technology and tradition stands Gintoki Sakata, an odd-jobs man trying to make ends meet. As usual, Gintoki and his mismatched group of friends are taking on all sorts of challenges: a sea monster in need of slaying, a ghost that's haunting the Shinsengumi headquarters, a mad warrior in search of the strongest sword, a friend-of-a-friend who needs to be saved from a biker gang , a drag queen's son with an inferiority complex, and a nearsighted ninja on an assassination mission. Can Gintoki and friends survive yet another round of anachronistic misadventures?

Rating: 10/10 for everything except story. For all its number of episodes, the serious arcs only lasts for 3 up to 5 episodes. if your looking for good story then this anime is not for you.

Review: This anime is definitely not for those of average intellect.One of the most intellectually based series ever.A young girl named Lain discovers that one of her classmates committed suicide.What is even stranger,she starts getting messages on her Navi (the show's term for computer) from that exact friend....in real time.The strangest thing?The friend claims that she found God in the Wired (internet).

And more and more people start claiming that they know this little,withdrawn girl that does not maintain social contact.What is even stranger,they say that Lain is very different than what she appears,in the terms of her peaceful and spaced-out behavior.

Anime Name: Le Portrait de Petite Cosette

Review: It's a really great anime. The plot is interesting - it's a dramatic story about love between a ghost of a girl,Cosette, killed by her fiance, and a human,Eiri, who inherited the murderers soul, but he truly loves Cosette and is ready to die for her. Drawing is amazing, especially Cosette is very beautiful and the scenery is changeable - nice flower garden turns into a gothic castle or into a cemetry...This anime is worth watching.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST CONQUEROR OR SHAMBALLA

Story
In 1923, two years have passed since Edward Elric’s sacrifice ripped him out of his world into ours. In this parallel world Edward encounters many familiar faces. During this time Edward, in a world without alchemy, has pursued being reunited with his brother Alphonse through the use of rocketry. In this world he finds an ally named Alphonse Heiderich, similar to what his brother would look like had his body never been taken beyond the gate. Progress is slow, but when Ed saves a Gypsy girl with the power to read minds, he is pulled into a plot by the Thule Society and Nazi Party that could drag both worlds into a horrible war. Meanwhile back in his own world Alphonse Elric after having lost all his memories of their adventures together has been unlocking new secrets of alchemy and gaining incredible powers, all in the hopes of finding Ed.
The only downside to this movie for me would be that without having watched the series before it, you miss out on a large part of the character development. But even so this movie is strong enough to stand on its own without the series.

Review: Eureka Seven is a about a 14 year old boy, Renton, who one day dreams to be like his idol, Holland, a legendary lifter (lifting is a unique sport in which a person rides on invisible waves called trapar waves. Like surfing, only in the air) and the leader of Gekkostate, a band of rebels. One day an LFO crashes through a garage Renton's grandfather shares with him. A girl emerges from inside, who Renton instantly has feelings for. She also happens to be a member of the Gekkostate. Renton is invited by the girl, whose name is Eureka, to join the Gekkostate. At first Renton is overwhelmed by the Gekkostate - but things don't really turn out the way he thought! Overall I really enjoyed this anime. The ending was a bit disappointing for me, but there were some really funny (and some serious) moments that I really enjoyed.

Review:
Hayato Kazami, a 14-year-old son of a futuristic "Cyber System" racing car developer of the Sugo Corp, drives a prototype computerized racing machine "Asurada GSX," created by his father to escape the chase of a evil organization that is trying to steal it for a personal gain. However, because Hayato can't put his driving data out of the car's navigating system afterward, he is forced to take a role as a futuristic racing competition called "Cyber Formula," racing through the tournament and aiming to become the best racers in the world.

The story is far better than you think. Cyber Formula competition is full of awesome actions and drama. In the tournament, Hayato meets a lot of rival and friends during the story. The best thing about this story is that it does not portray Hayato as an invicible hero. He's more or less a realistic teenager with flaws and tend to get a success over his head, which causes him to fail his career for multiple times. What make the story really moving is how Hayato develop from a novice into a racing champion with a lot of suspense and drama.

The presentation is very well done. While the graphic has aged a lot, beingan anime made in 1991, Future GPX Cyber Formula is an exciting and fast-pace racing action genre dealing with futuristic cars that can change its form and use boosters. While it sounds out of realistic bound, each race keeps laws and rules in real life racing. References to racing techniques such as slipstreams are also used. Combining this with drama and suspense each episode gives, it simply fun to watch and even to rewatch over and over again.

Soundtracks of Future GPX Cyber Formula are one of the most memoriable for me. The sound effects are great, and the music is powerful.

Future GPX Cyber Formula is my beautiful childhood. The animation, the story and the story are perfectly put together. It's an awesome and fun anime to watch.

Downloads: Animethehylia was where I looked into. It's the most reliable place to download, though it only provide only one episode per 24 hours.

Review: When the Angels start attacking the planet Earth in the year 2015, only a handful of 14-year-old EVA pilots are able to stop them. A Shinji Ikari finds himself recruited as a member of an elite team of pilots by his father.The weak-minded Shinji Ikari suddenly finds himself forced to pilot EVA-01, a giant organic mecha, designed and constructed by NERV, that is the only thing that can stop the Angels. This anime is old & was created during the late 90s but even so artwork & animation is passable & story is good (there's more to it than that). I recommend watching to see for yourself. :D

~Afro Samurai Review~

Alright so.... I recently finished watching Afro Samurai and have decided to do a review on it =P couldn't be bothered to actually make a thread so I'll post here, my first review on AA! well here goes (:
Anime Name: Afro Samurai

Genre: Action, Samurai, Seinen
Subbed/Dubbed: Dubbed
Review: This is a 5 episode anime so you shouldn't be expecting a lot of plots because you'll be severely let down. This is a very intriguing anime because of the fact that the main antagonist barely talks throughout the series. 70% of the success of this anime goes to Samuel L. Jackson for voice acting in this anime.
As far as the fighting scenes go for this anime, I'd say that it was extremely good. The swordplay was better than in bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. The reason for this is because it doesn't have any restrictions placed, the big 3 anime are aimed at younger audiences and therefore can't have too much blood and gore. As in blood and gore Afro Samurai was just right as in it doesn't go too overboard.
The plot in this anime is pretty simple and not too complicated so if you're someone who doesn't like animes that are too long this would be nice for you.
