"Falling in love can be the start of a loving relationship, but lasting relationships don't just happen; they grow. In many ways nurturing a relationship is like tending a garden."

^ Yeah, Harushi is pain in the back, I agree, xD
She falls in to hyper Tsundere category , lol
imo Kyou Fujibayashi (Clannad) and Makise Kurisu(Steins;Gate) and even Taiga/Luis (toradora/Zero no Tsukaima) are faar reasonable, lovely and better teundere charecters :3
I have seen the season 1 and few S2 eps only. But never found this anime to be as interesting as most fans make it to be.
this story is about a girl, who is the god of the universe etc etc, then we have her hyperness and some other characters.
the rest is pretty boring if you ask me (so much time is wasted to even show a lazy nap) ^^'
or am I missing something o.o

Married to: Jaden Yuki!!!
The entire story revolves on a girl who has the power to create a universe and also to distroy it (As what Koizumi said XD).
She wished for Alien,Time traveler and Esper to be reality and eventually they've appeared.
She's a normal human but...She got God's powers......
This is totally insane people.^__^

Not sure if there will be a new season, but... it looks like ppl just don't understand this anime. Just why do they make the Haruhi series that way? There's a reason for every single element of the series, but frankly, trying to watch it is a bit like trying to properly read Hemingway or Dostoyevsky, or even Salinger. I think it would be easier to understand if I used alcoholic drinks as an analogy. An 8-year old does not have his/her taste buds developed well enough to appreciate a quality beer and why it's good. Later in life, like at 16 or 17 or 18, people do begin to appreciate good beer and its fine points. Same here. Fans of stuff like Naruto or DragonBall or even GTO just wouldn't be able to mentally appreciate the fine points of the Haruhi series. Just how do you represent the depth and intensity of emotions using just sounds and visual effects? What about demonstrating how to consider possibilities, and showing how a teenage mind does it? This is truly a Japanese-style thing - every element that is seen or heard in the series has meaning to it that is several layers deep.
Unfortunately, it's very difficult to recommend a single prerequisite series to watch - GTO is a good exploration of the teenage mind, with some critical thinking from sane adults sprinkled in, but that gets drowned out by the comedy part of the series. Ghost In The Shell is a good series to practice understanding references to philosophical ideas and interpersonal interactions, but that gets drowned out by thrilling, high-stakes cyberwarfare and gunfights. Gungrave suffers from the same problems as GITS when it comes to recommending Gungrave as a prerequisite for watching Haruhi... I'm not saying to watch or not to watch any particular series in any particular order, in the end it's still up to you. Just keep in mind, the Haruhi series is like a good beer - it takes some maturity to truly appreciate it.

yeah... i do agree with you in some points. people just dont try to understand that each anime is made with different element.... their story and trill ... everything should be different... otherwise it really becomes boring..
specially for those who are bored to see the action and fight of some animes....like naruto, bleach, blood+ etc... they will like the crazyness of haruhi..... it is completely unique.... i appreciate peoples taste .... it varies from person to person....
some people dont want to use their head.... in understanding the meaning or the deapth of emotions of the anime.... may be it is insane.... but it also represent a part of character.... which is amazing... and funny.....
In my views i really do like this anime.... specially yuki.... every character is different here... and they combined it so well... it doesn't seem like a mess..... i wish there is any new season.!!!
