Do you believe Lelouch sacrificed himself?

No,this is not a discussion considering his "dead or alive" status.He's dead,and that's final.But did he really sacrifice himself or did he truly go mad with power?


I believe he did go mad with power.Of course,we had all that "Zero requiem" talk,but i do not believe Lelouch would sacrifice himself,it just doesn't fit in his image.I believe he is too self centered for that.

Well,to be honest,it is not easy to explain.It is,perhaps,possible that he did not take over Britannia to help the world?Perhaps he just wanted the power?

Lelouch's mindset was made clear from the beginning. It's pretty obvious that he wasn't after materialistic things such as fame and wealth etc. He always looked down upon the nobles of Britannia. If he wanted to obtain power, then it was only so that he could reach his ultimate goal.

His true philosophy throughout the series was to help the "greater good" yes, that bring along self-gain but oh well.

Yes, he sacrificed himself. That was the whole point of the final episode. Besides the thousands of hints, one main one should be when his sister finally realized what he was doing and she went senile.
