so indeed,How did Nagato get the Rinnegan, how will Naruto get it.
i am sure you guys are still wondering what madara meant when he said "i was the one who gave rinnegan to nagato".

How did Nagato get the Rinnegan?
so its technically pointless to think madara experimented on nagato or transplanted rinnegan, cuz thats not possible, why?
nagato's Rinnegan got ACTIVATED when was a kid. so if madara has transplanted it, nagato's rinnegan would be in awakened state even when he was a child.

so what does madara mean by that?i explain it in other indirect way.

nagato was an uzumaki, he had a red hair, and madara confirmed that.

then it is confirmed that uzumaki clan and senju clan are blood relatives.

so what? okay, we know rinnegan requirements are Senju powers and Uchiha powers.the one who has both is called a member of six paths.

what i say madara gave some of his Uchiha powers to nagato when he was a kid, knowing that he would activate his rinnegan one day, cuz he would have both the powers of senju and uchiha.so madara planted the seed,he just needed to wait and get his prize

i guess you already know by now,
we know that naruto is also an uzumaki. and we know as you saw above that itachi gave some of his powers to naruto.
it would be the same as what madara did. now, perhapse naruto needs a serious shock to activate his rinnegan, for example seeing sasugey die .

you said madara is one of the six paths, but kinda illegally since he was stole the body from senjuu (not genetically)
it's the same with naruto, if the gift of itachi was really something to awaken the eyes...then it's the same with madara, naruto become the six path illegally too (since the power of the eyes is not genetically from naruto)

naruto would be just like nagato, and i think much more legal than madara, i mean altho he has caused the birth of rinnegan that way,he got the eyes and also the cells from other people, but naruto will get the eyes only. and he is pretty much like a direct inheritor of the sage of six paths himself.
anyway, as a note, the only way to produce a legal heir to sage of six paths is the marriage of an uchiha and senju/uzumaki, and since there is no uchiha girl left, the only way is naruto and his sexy-no jutsu and sasugey,,,,,here we need a yaoi expert to calculate the chances o.o
