Dam.. i was the only one who clicked anime.

Well i watched the anime first, then read the manga around two weeks ago. It follows it pretty closely and i think the fights are wayy longer in the anime, i dunno i just kinda like how they make the comedic elements in the anime and the music is so good in fairy tail. However the newest episode is like ...wha... theres a filler arc now? which doesnt show up in the manga, but i still think anime is better because its actually really close to the manga, as its only one and ?1/4? arc behind.

    My answer: They're both great!

I started with the manga which is amazing! The characters all have such great interactions, and I love how the plot can move from comedic to serious but is always adventurous with lots of action. It's an extremely fun read!

When I started watching the anime, I have to agree that I thought the animation was a bit cheap... but with the tough spot that the anime industry is in, that's really only to be expected, right? Honestly, I was just happy that it actually made it into anime form, lots of my favorite manga never even get that far!

But anyway, despite the somewhat simplistic animation, I still love the anime because it actually sticks to the manga plot, has really talented (and cute!) voice actors, has a great soundtrack, moves at the perfect pace, and did I mention it actually follows the plot??? XD That's one thing that can bother me the most about anime adaptions, so I'm really glad they are keeping to the original story!

Overall, I'd say that you should read the manga first to get the story down, and if you like it definitely watch the anime to bring the story to life!
    You won't be disappointed!

well u see, it would be obvious dat most people like manga... but manga are just 2D pictures and sometimes cannot deliver the exact situation on the scene... dat y i vote for cannot say coz i see anime as a completion of the manga itself.... like elements such as comedy is more enjoyable if we see it in anime rather than manga... its not dat i say anime or manga is better, it just i see as the same entity... a manga dat do not yet have anime is rather incomplete...

I just started reading manga a year ago, with the sole purpose of knowing what would happen in the next episode of the anime xD I am an 'audio-visual' type of person, it really helps if I see them moving and hear them talking, hence, I choose ANIME. However, if you started with the manga, chances of you getting disappointed with the anime is pretty high since animators/producers squeeze all the scenes depending on the given time slot. Now, if I have first seen the anime and I felt like the ending left me hanging, that would be the time that I would read the manga - my reason for reading Gakuen Alice. It's a case to case basis.

they are both great manga is something you can look forward to also the anime which is great you can say they both stand out on there own and they both are good so it really hard to choose because they anime gives a better effect to the anime while the manga gives more info than the anime but at the end of it all i would say the manga is better

I know it's case-to-case :) in fact I made a poll specifically for Fairy Tail...I didn't know if I had to watch the anime not to miss something great or not and I asked opinions about it :)

Minna-san, thanks for expressing your opinions ^-^
