My hard disk :(

hi..
im having a problem with my hard driver it wont open and when i try to it says u need to formate it before u use, but when i tried to conect the hard driver to the TV in works all my files appers but in PC it wouldnt. and it also changed the name of my hard driver
so anyone can help ?
my hard driver is samsung

the thing is, most likely your HD is infected,
if you can access it with TV as you said and your files are there then nothing is wrong with ur HD
you better install some anti virus program, update its database and scan your HD

I have the anti-virus and i scanned it it says files scanned: 0 like there is nothing inside :S
and i dont think there is virous cuz if there was the anti-virous would said that there is virous in ur HD :(

could you maybe tell us what kind of file system is on it
because the tv can use his own that the pc cant read

Try connecting to all of the USB connections, if not works connect other devices and tell me if they work or not.

@Sharigan boy: what do u mean by file system?
when i connected it to the TV there where files that where hidden and there was file called samsung something, i entered it and there was a file called auto back up

i dont really know how i could explain it but ill give it a go.

The file system is a system on how files are stored. But some machines use their own filesystem. These filesystems arent supported by windows.
Windows can read the following file systems:
NTFS(standard for windows installations)
exFAT
FAT32
FAT16
FAT
CDFS(this is on a cd)

maybe their are some more but i dont know more.

To find the filesystem go to my computer or computer. right click the drive letter and do properties.
you will see the filesystem in this window

@SharinganBoy I think its the USB port problem not the hard disk because he said it doesnt work on his pc but on his TV it works that means his USB port might be ruined.

it could also be a filesystem that the computer cant read but the tv does.
it would be weird if all the usb ports are ruined.
could you try in all usb ports other usb storages like a usb stick?
