    Nobody mentioned Kimagure Orange Road, Ai Yori Aoshi, Suzuka, Aa! Megami-Sama or Maison Ikkoku. KOR and MI are old, but good. My personal favorite is AMS, because of the good artwork combined with a good story by Kousuke Fujishima.

    I often have a distaste for romantic comedies (too predictable) but there are some really good ones
    School Rumble is so funny! It's less of a romance and more of a comedy, but it's wonderful all the same.
    Host Club is good

    I'm currently watching Fruits Basket so I'd recommend it to anyone. It's basically about a girl who gets invited by a classmate to live with him and his other cousins. However they are cursed in which if they get hugged by a girl they turn into animals. I won't give away too much info.

    A romantic anime that i know of is Vampire Knight! at first, its a little funny, and has a gives you quite a few laughs, but throughout the anime, it starts to get serious....REALLY serious.... hehe...dont wanna spoil anythin, im just sayin!
