------A lost explorer------
“Where am I?” “How did I get here” “Why did I say yes” These questions raised in the mind of Drake like a storm.
While lying unconscious on the ground, suddenly a movement occurred in the earth like an earthquake and a big chunk of rock rumbled down and a beam of light came creeping into Jake’s eyes it looked like an escape route from hell. He felt as if the he has seen the sunlight after several months; it was his only chance to escape from this dark nightmare. “I once lived a happy and satisfied life then why, I mean why? Did I choose this way” thought Jake.
I am Drake Jaden a lost explorer stuck in the dreadful future, crowning through darkness trying to remember his past.
-----Few months ago-----
*Flash back*
Whenever Drake had a nice dream it only stayed until his younger sister Mandy Jaden popped his bubble.
“Drake wake up” screamed Mandy “Get lost Mandy” Squealed Drake “I would actually love to butt out but I hate to break it to you, YOU ARE LATE FOR WORK, If you don’t get up now I will throw a whole bucket of cold water without thinking or hesitating” Shouted Mandy Furiously “Holy crap, not again, Someone please say that this is a bad dream” said Drake and he rushed into the toilet.
When he was all finished up and when he came out his appearance was sort of this he got his tooth brush into his mouth, toothpaste leaking out of his mouth, Shirt with no button attached and only half of his shirt was tucked, a comb hanging in his hair, his tie untied and his belt hanging on one loop.
He grabbed a cup of coffee in his left hand and his car keys in his right hand. “Could you come at 8 ‘O’ clock to pick me up for my party with my friends” requested Mandy hopping for a yes “Whatever” replied Drake and rushed off towards the front door of the house and as he was going to step out he shouted as loud as he could “Goodbye Mom”.
Drake drove an old 1990’s Jaguar XJR which previously belonged to his father. He ran as fast as he could towards his car and sat in it he started his car as fast as he could. He made an exit through the parking lot. He drove through the road in high speed and in high gear and the only thing that he could think up of was about his sister Mandy “Why does Mandy has such kind of annoying friends, even though she is smart and can hang with some other friends who are a little bit her type and why the hell am I caring for a jerk like Mandy”.
He zipped through the road as he could it was like a race against time but unfortunately time was against him the moment he stepped inside his office he saw his boss standing at the entrance and staring at me arrogantly as if I was the one who hacked his bank account. “Master Drake Jaden you are FIRED” Shouted his boss furiously and all the employees staring at Drake. “Get your lousy butt out of my office, Will you all please get to work I am not running a show over here” Shouted his boss again after hearing this all the employees got back to work.
As he stepped out of the office the only thing he could hear was “You’re fired” it actually took him 15 minutes to figure out that he was fired. He sat down in front of the office thinking and thinking what to say to his mom. After long thinking he finally came to the decision of telling her the truth about what happened today but his curiosity level was very high he kept on thinking what will his mother say to him if he says that he got fired.
He sat there until it was 6 ‘O’ clock and he finally got over the shock and he went straight to his car and sat in it and it wasn’t long enough for him to reach his home. He stopped his car right outside the house and banged his head into the steering wheel and after few minutes he stepped outside the car and walked inside hell purposely without any concern what will happen next whether he should say the truth or hide it with lies.
He took his steps slowly, slowly and gradually he was right in front of his door, before entering he took a deep breath and opened the door as he went inside his mother was in the kitchen and she only asked “How was your day son?” Drake ‘gulped’ and replied “It wasn’t bad it was actually very good” A true lie. After replying Drake hurried up to his room and lied on his bed thinking what he will do tomorrow he saw a newspaper lying down by his side and due to the wind the pages rolled off and it stopped rolling after reaching the ‘classifieds’ section and it was written “zoologists needed for exploring the depths of the biggest tropical forests in the word the Amazonian Jungle and also willing to do dangerous expeditions” this headline caught the eyes of Drake and as he went further reading the article he saw “For more information please contact us on our landline 009-5232-0234” After seeing this Drake took the telephone and called them then somebody picked up the phone and asked “Good evening sir, How may I be of your service” “Good evening to you to, I actually called your office after seeing your advertisement about zoologists needed and I was thinking to join your channel, if you could set and appointment with your boss” replied Drake “Please wait for a while let me check the schedule, wow you are lucky because he is free tomorrow and yes your appointment is set at 4’O’ clock in the evening, Your good name please” said the man on the phone “Thank you very much my good name is Drake Jaden and your good name please” asked Drake “Well my name is Maddock, Nice speaking to you sir, Bye” Replied the man and he hanged up the phone.
Drake lied on his bed meditating and thinking what will happen tomorrow, the questions that rose in his mind were: “Will they accept me?” “Won’t I be killed when going on a dangerous expedition?” Before he could actually finish thinking his sister came in and “Drake you told me that you would drop me at my party” She shouted furiously “When did I say yes? I said whatever” Replied Drake playing dumb “Are you going to take me there or I should take your car and go” said Mandy “Okay, okay I will drop you off, Just give my keys back” said Drake and they went out of the house while leaving Drake saw a sticky note and he wrote on it “Mom could you please dry clean and iron my suit, Because tomorrow we are having a meeting tomorrow” he then stuck it to the refrigerator because he saw his mom praying in front of his dads photo so he thought not to disturb her by speaking during her prayer and then he went out with his sister.
As they were going to sit in the car Mandy received a call and she kept it on the loud speaker and one of her friend said “The race hasn’t yet started” “What! Why hasn’t the race started?”Asked Mandy “Because one of the racer hasn’t came yet, But I received his phone call, he was saying something about the police catching him for reckless driving and we can’t find a substitute for him” replied her friend “Well I know a substitute who can come in his position” said Mandy “Who’s that” asked her friend “My big brother” replied Mandy and she hanged up the phone “What the heck did you did that for” asked Drake “Don’t worry I know you will win for sure” said Mandy “What is the guarantee that I would win?” Asked Drake “Well you always drive nuts when you get late for work so drive the same as you drive while going to work” said Mandy “So do you really think that would help me? What would I get if I drive for you, absolutely nothing” said Drake “Who say’s that the winner won’t get anything, the winner is getting 10,000 dollars” said Mandy “Where the heck did your group manage to get that much money from?” Asked Drake “My group didn’t got that money we got it from a girl whose father is a millionaire and 10,000 dollars is nothing for her but this race also has betting in it the more bets you get the higher your value will increase” said Mandy “But what about the cops?” asked Drake “No need to worry she said that shooting was in progress by making a fake filming agreement” said Mandy. After thinking for a few minutes Drake agreed to race. They kept being silent until they’ve reached the starting line.
As soon as they came to the party area “Mandy step out of the car” ordered Drake “But why?” Asked Mandy “Because I want to see you in full peace, I don’t want to see you struggle” replied Drake “I thought that you didn’t even care for me” said Mandy and she stepped out of the car while leaving she commented “I would say good luck to you but you are already lucky and good luck is for them whose time isn’t going well” “Whatever” said Drake and drove to the starting line.
When he reached the starting line they gave him an Apple I-Pad and a stand to place it above his cars A.C and a lady nearby with a pen in her hand and a notepad in other came near and asked me “Your name, your cars name and the year of this cars model please” “My name is Drake Jaden my cars name is Jaguar XJR and the year of model is 1990” replied Drake “Do you have a nick name?” Asked the Lady “Well…. No” Replied Drake “Let’s see your name is Drake Jaden, Yah! D for Drake and J for Jaden and that forms D.J” Said the lady and walked to the footpath and suddenly my I-pad switched on by its self and all the names of the racers with their cars manufacturers company name with the amount betted on that racer with minimum 10,000
On number 1 Hans Oliver with Porsche 911 the amount betted is 25,000 dollars
On number 2 Harry Oberon with Ford Mustang GT the amount betted is 35,000 dollars
On number 3 Carl Smith with Pagani Zonda the amount betted is 56,000 dollars
On number 4 Drake Jaden with Jaguar XJR the amount betted is 12,000 dollars
The same girl who took my name and information stood in front of the road and shouted “Ready, set and Accelerate” the first one to take the lead was Carl and behind him was Harry and behind him was Hans and in the last was Drake. At first the road was straight so all the cars were going on high speed including Drake but as soon as the first turn came Carl drifted but his car was too fast to slowdown so he collided with the near hills ending and that stroke was too strong and due to that an avalanche occurred and a huge rock came rumbling down and hitting Oliver’s car but Drake’s and Harry’s car was a little slow and that became an advantage for them to dodge the huge rock. After a couple of miles Harry’s car became too much heated so the car’s engine collapsed and there was only one mile to victory and Drake was the winner by default but to his notice his cars fuel gage was almost at the point of empty so he accelerated the car as fast as he could suddenly the cars function all turned off but due to his frictional less wheel he was able to make it to the finish line.
As soon as he won his sister came running and opened the door and said “I told you that you would win” “Nice Guess but I won on default” Said Drake “I even told that you were lucky” said Mandy “Nice, Now that is all proven that I am lucky” and as he stepped out of the car the whole crowd came running and lifted him up and took him to the stage for his honor and the same lady was standing at the stage with a bag with 12,000 dollars “This money is now rightfully yours D.J” said the lady “Thank you” said Drake and he descended from the stage.
After a little bit celebration his sister came and asked him “I am going home with my friends are you coming?” “Are you joking? I would actually starve to death over here than go with your sissy friends” replied Drake “It’s your wish banana brain, if you want to stay here all night” said Mandy and after saying this Mandy went towards his friend’s car.
Drake then remembered that his car was all out of fuel he then came into action and he took out his mobile phone and called the tow truck. After a couple of hours the tow truck came and took him as well as his car and while he was seated in the vehicle he requested the tow truck driver “Could you please drop me and my car to a nearby petrol pump” “Okay sir I will anyways we are the government workers our responsibility is to always keep a smile on all the citizens face except us” said the tow truck driver “but why do you guys think like that?” asked Drake “Isn’t it obvious it’s like, your wish is my command thingy” replied the driver “That is a good fact though” said Drake and after this conservation the driver stopped as he reached the petrol pump “Bye sir” said the driver “Bye” replied drake and after this the driver went off.
After Drake had finished refilling his car he drove back to his home and when he reached there everyone was fast asleep so without making any noise he tip-toed inside his room without squeaking the floor or making any noise and as he lied on the bed his eyes where soon closed and he was quickly fast asleep.
When he opened his eyes he saw that he was in a place where weird looking creatures stared at him and one of them was opening his mouth and makes him drink some kind of Greece or oil and they connected a cable to his left leg and shocking him again and again.
