Is there any way we can do the Cutest Anime Character Competitions again? Well, it doesn't have to be the Cutest, it could be a number of things... but I just remember those competitions being really fun and getting the community active. :)

Just a thought... I know those types of things can be difficult to run, but they are pretty fun.

i think this would be a great idea, but as you said, someone will have to manage the whole thing
i agree to the fact that they are funny, and plus is an easy was to discuss and stuff, not only rating

Yeah, that's why I said it doesn't have to be the 'Cutest'. I would actually LOVE to see other themes because the Cutest seems so generic. But nonetheless, it IS a lot of fun. I just remember last time Yiew wanted to pull her hair out with the contest because it was so hard with everyone posting NON stop. xD I hope it's possible for us to hold a contest again though...

I don't mind, tho it requires at least one person who will take care of counting votes and such. I'm not gonna apply for that job =p

And at least one s-mod, who will be removing/merging all one-liners and shouting at people who will be posting there every 30-minutes, because they "Just reminded themselves about another character".

i get you, and i bet is quite hard, but is manageable
for example i would be willing to manage sm like this, and be committed, but af course this would be at least a 2 man job,
plus there should a mod involved as well

but uhm... yeah i do not particularly feel like counting the votes..

Well I know to avoid one liners, we were SUPPOSED to list WHY we chose the character and why we thought they deserved to get our vote. But... that ended up like such 'Haruhi....she's cute.' xD I know there are even examples in the first post in threads such as this to avoid one liners. I would suggest moving it to spam, but I guess that would be out of place?

i know, some people might be tempted to post to bouts up the post count
but i have faith, so not everyone would do that
people just have to learn and have an opinion, but i understand that is more easy to say haruhi is cute, or one lines like that

Well, 2 options:

1. We can have an active, spammish thread with one-liners and very hard to manage, even to count votes in Spam/Chat.

2. Ordered, clean, but not too active thread, where certain quality of posts will be required in "normal" part of forums.

if i were to choose #2 would more oke
since i think is obvious, but that way the result are more accurate
and if this were to be done, ill be liek o monthly competition with a theme cosed beforehand, like cutest anime girl
