Rereading my story (as I generally do once the results are in), I'm pretty pleased with how the dialogue turned out. (I especially like when dialogue turns out good.) Less pleased with all my typos, which make me cranky.

Most of this story was devised and written during the first two weeks of January when I spent nearly everyday at one hospital and then at another separate hospital which had a massive Church of Scientology across the street that I had to stare at everyday, so I'm now wholly convinced that Scientology is evil. The ending had me really stumped, so I didn't sit down to write it until about a week later at around 10PM, which of course meant that I suddenly had to go to another third hospital and didn't arrive back until about 5AM. Yay, for laptops, though. At that point I was pretty much burned out from all the hospitals, and Scientology, and writing, so I uploaded it without editing.

Whatever. I think I'll go have McDonald's for breakfast to remind myself why I don't have McDonald's for breakfast now.

Also, other than the goddamned Scientology and hospitals, I had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who was involved for making it happen, writers and judges.
    Goodbye and hello, as always.

I got the feeling the most of the hospital staff were rather disdainful of Scientology, which isn't really surprising considering their profession. Although, I wouldn't put it past the church to sneak in some infiltrators. They've done far worse.

Let me see if I can find any pictures of that hideous church of theirs . . .

They even bought their own street and named it "L Ron Hubbard Way" and paved it all spiffy-like. It's on Sunset Blvd, famous (to me anyway) for massive amounts of STD billboards and marijuana dispensaries.

i'm surprised I wasn't last. I thought I didn't add enough science in the story and afterall my weakest genre was Sci-Fi... But this was fun. I hope another writing competition would challenge me again.
Thanks for the judging and points ^0^

You Did nothing to begin with, just like before.
