Smart protagonist Themed animes

Does anyone know more anime series that have the theme of an intelligent protagonist/antagonist, that eventually overcomes obstacles with pure intellect typically rather than brute force/finding more strength or power

There's also Legendary Gambler Tetsuya and Kaiji. My pick of Kaiji may be weird, but the guy is surprisingly smart only when he needs to get out of really deep trouble.

I would mention Hideo Kuze from Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig for antagonist. He gets out of a few situations here and there but as the antagonist he eventually loses out in the end.
