Ok so I've now exhausted my list of anime I want to watch, so I'm in the market for some new stuff. Here is a sampling of what I really liked:

Hi, there's a new anime called "Sword Art Online" you should definitely check it out,
there's only 1 episode out but looks very promising, it made me remember the .hack series.

I could recommend you start the 'girls with guns' trilogy of Bee Train; Noir, Madlax, El Cazador De Brujica. Another one that I'd recommend is Gunsmith Cats (a three-episode OVA series) as well as Armagni SS and CLANNAD.
