OMG. I'm also excited for the season finale. It seems like it's come up SO fast though! Btw... since Air is the first 'Book' I wonder what the others are going to be? And if they're going to do more books? I'm still excited!

And RJ, that band! LOL! The ones that made songs out of absolutely nothing! I lawled so hard watching that episode!

Omg I just saw it. Its was amazing and finally the avatar state. I cannot wait for the second season it is going to be great I hope. Also uncle Boomy of course Aang would name his son that and he'd end up being just like the first Boomy.

HOLY FREAKING SKY BISONS AVATAR FANS! D: CAN YOU SAY OH MY GOOOOODDDDD!

First of all, hello everyone. I haven't been here for a while, due to my computer being down for a month. I just caught up with the entire series, and can I say that, that was an AMAZING finish to the series! Can you believe how well done it was!? And not to mention : Korra is AMAZING. I can't say what I've liked the most, because everything was so awesome and so well written, that I'm sitting here after the season finale in absolute silence.

I'M LOVING the old characters/new generations being brought back into the mix. I think this is an area of strength for the series, since we've so often seen sequels with all new characters.

If you haven't watched the season finale, or you're nowhere near it, I strongly suggest downloading/watching it! The finale does not disappoint whatsoever, and it leaves us with severe anxiousness for the second season. If THIS finale was so amazing, I can't imagine what the second finale is going to be like. I for one, cannot WAIT to see Korra in avatar state again... And I'm not sure that the villains are gone for good. That get-away boat didn't look so promising to me. We all know that they tend to do things like this!

yeah I was surprised too about the boat exploding, but however I believe that the main villain of the entire series will not be Amon. I mean that's a bit too batman/superman/spiderman/etc...man thing, one good guy one bad guy and fight kind of thing....

I mean, Aang went against the entire nation, and then some.....
I think this was more like a lead in season to introduce all the characters and the surroundings which, I think all of you agree too, is quite different then before.
I don't really know who the bad person/event will actually be but I think it'll be bigger then just one man and a political scheme.

I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed that he showed us she regained her powers and entered avatar state he could have kept us in sooo much suspense till the second series comes out and he could have got an entire episode out of it. But at least the good guys won this time properly at that.

second season starts July 9th, 2012 so a week of waiting is upon us (poor us)

Allright I finished it too, must say i'm not disappointed although it felt a bit rushed at times..
then again that might be me being used to old avatar where the 'enemy' is taking over an entire world, which indeed fills a larger amount of eps than taking over a single city...

I'm absolutely loving the new characters though and also love all the jokes and references to the old series ("Not my cabbage corp! D:").

also i'm pleasantly surprised by all the lame amon puns out there on the net xD

    Thanks northernian :D

Wait... the second season is starting next week already? 'o.O I wonder what it's gonna be about.

I didn't really like the first season though. The drama was too awkward and it felt like Korra never learned anything new. Also with the final episode, everything went to fast and didn't make sense. Her powers are taken but she suddenly knows how to use air bending? With that air bending (which she never used before) she suddenly beats Amon, even though she couldn't do it with water, earth and fire bending?
Also she got into avatar mode AFTER she beat Amon. Why didn't she go into avatar mode while fighting Amon. That would make more sense. She just lost her bending, the guy she likes is about to get killed. How is standing on a cliff more emotional than that?!

Next thing I didn't like was the bending. I understand they needed something new but metal bending was special. Only toph was able to do it, not almost every earth bender. Same with bloodbending. Yes, it's still rare but how are they able to blood bend when it's not full moon? Am I missing something there?

It has some good things though :) There were some awesome characters like Bolin, Meelo and I even started to like Beifong after a while. And I was really interested in Aang's son, Bumi... but you only saw him for a few seconds -.- They better show more of him in season 2!

It would have been better if she only air-bent her way out of that hallway (like emotional trauma to save her bf magically enabled her to get in touch with airbending with romantic connotations etc etc etc) but like I said I'd liked it too if he left an episode for her to discover avatar state and regain her powers through some effort not a random powerup

Well we actually don't know how good bending is because we base all our experiences only on a world that was ruled by firebenders and only the privileged firebenders (ie generals royal family....) were given the privilege to learn advanced firebending, and all other bending was "suffocated" (better adjective anyone?) by firebenders and was not really allowed.
I mean firebending was so skewed that a lot of firebenders didn't even use proper source for firebending (like thought to aang, zuko and iroh by dragons)....

maybe this is more like "natural" bending, where people learned it freely with more "love", intuition and they were far more innovative then previous benders were....

Like with star wars, I always felt that even if Lucas originally thought off only 4, 5, 6 and then later made 1, 2, 3 it was the better decision because it looks like the entire Empire progressively deteriorated the advanced civilization where people were free not only culturally but technically too....
and when you look at 1, 2, 3 everything is more advanced, even swordfighting is faster force use is more powerful etc.....

    oh and a must click!:
