2000 years?! thats absurd! I can believe 1000 because thats how long yama-jii was captain commander so I would venture to say yama-jii is around 1500 years old, but to say that guy that looks like he's 40 is more than 2000 years old is ridiculous I hate you kubo. If I remember, he didnt get knocked out by ichigo but he did get incapacitated, or at least it looked like he didnt try to fight ichigo.

Perhaps this means that the quincy cannot steal the full power of a bankai. I wonder if all these quincies are really dead, I mean they suddenly started dropping like flies when jii-sama and kenpachi decided to battle, but Maiyuri hasnt even started his mayhem yet.


EDIT: After reading up on some wiki, apparently kubo uses a lot of information from his character books which he fails to show us. Yamamoto started the gotei-13 2100 years ago apparently. I was always under the impression that he was the second or 3rd captain commander and he had only been around for 1000 years. This manga pisses me off. Kubo would rather draw entire pages of eyes than elaborate on his story. If only there was say....an anime that they could use the info from the character books to you know...show us how the world of bleach is. /end rant/
