I think either she will get into an accident, or the time will skip and he will not see her up to the point that it skips to. So that way the saying is true, but that is because he is going to see her soon.

I really hope it is the second one, because I think Suzuki-kun is the best one for her.

I also look forward to seeing the outcome of Shinobu and Itou's relationship. See if he gets any more honest about his feelings.

I am so glad my second prediction came true. Although it was heartbreaking to see him waiting all that time -poor guy.

I also feel really bad for Shinobu. It seems like Itou half-realizes she still really likes him, but she can't bear to leave her childhood friend alone.
