    So the last thread went buggy so I had to redo it

    I selected a few songs at random off my mp3 player your challenge is to select one and write a story based on it. Dont just focus on the lyrics take the mood and emotion of the music and the images it evokes and incorporate that into the story

    A little tidbit; the video for song 2 uses German expressionist visuals, this was used during the first part of the last century in German movies to create an eerie and confusing atmosphere in movies such as Nosferatu, it lends itself well to the song's theme of conflict arising from the moral implications of sexual temptation. Also at the scene with Carol Kenyon sitting in the chair as she struggles with her conflicting emotions makes clever use of lighting to illustrate the thoughts she is having. Her hairstyle makes her shadow resemble two lovers kissing and when her shadow crosses over Glen Gergory's it looks like the silhouette of a couple partaking in oral sex.

    I chose song 3 I think. It was Immortals -All Shall Fall.
    It's a fast paced song so I tried to emulate the quickness. In the middle it slows down a bit before going back to the quick pace again, I was trying to capture that energy. The characters are names from Norse Mythology.
    And yes. Aliens. At least I'm smart enough to know not to name it "Norse and Aliens" like some people in hollywood
    (Cowboys and Aliens is the worst title for a movie, seriously)

    Thanks Mykka!

    I picked song #5. It sounds all fire and brimstone, gates of hell, and apocalyptic fun, all of which are awesome. I even managed to cram all of those in there. Except for the fire. But there's a melting face, so it's all good.

    @RebbieChan
    Well, at least you know that Cowboys and Aliens is probably about cowboys and aliens wasting each other. If that sounds like your idea of a good time then yay for you.

    Sometimes those "what it says on the tin" titles work really well. I do not lie, there is a movie called "Ticked Off Trannies with Knives". How could you see that title and not want to watch it?

    3187 words (I should add that I might've edited a bit after I pasted because we all know that skull goes through and counts all the words to make sure we aren't lying.)
    Goodbye and hello, as always.

    @Sean
    Yeah, I actually really liked the movie and I felt the title worked for the comic book, but I knew a lot of people who would have normally watched a movie like that who were detered from watching it because of the title. Which is a really dumb reason to not see a movie, but still.

    Well both these stories were very entertaining, Rebbie went straight into the action for an exciting read while Sean built up to a grand finale and gave glimpses of the past. Rebbie gave some closure while Sean left his open ended. Two very different approaches but two good stories none the less. In the end I had to pick Sean's as the winner there was more for the reader to feast on with all the back story aspects going on and the build up to the climax was in itself very enjoyable
