Angelic Layer Review

The heroine of our story, 12-year-old Misaki Suzuhara left her home in Wakayama, traveling to the vast city of Tokyo to come and live with her aunt Shoko. After getting off at the wrong train station, Misaki caught her first glimpse of what would later become her biggest passion, Angelic Layer. Instantly captivated by what she saw unfolding on the big screen, with the help of the often misunderstood scientist Icchan, Misaki prepares to enter the world of Angelic Layer with her own Angel, who she named Hikaru.

Misaki is a kind and cheerful person who tends to make new friends easily. Bright and honest, though sometimes a bit spacey, Misaki has an inferiority complex about her small stature. And while she's not very athletic, Misaki has excellent eyesight and a keen sense of strategy that helps her succeed during Angelic Layer bouts. Misaki attends Eriol Academy as a 7th Grader, along with her good friends Tamayo and Kotaro.
