“The most influential Anime EVER!!!!”
If you are not a basketball fan, this anime will definitely make you start to love Basketball. It has EVERYTHING IN IT! The characters are fantastic and has vivid description given in less time. It's not just a regular basketball anime, but it shows the highschool struggles a team might face like getting into gang fights and how the game can change a goon squad member's life. Takehiko Inoue, the writer, is a GENIUS! I have no idea how the character of Sakuragi Hanamichi (The main character) came to his mind. A few of the episodes will literally make you cry.....its best to first see the 101 episodes without reading the manga or else the excitements not gonna be as sky high. The reason I gave 9 marks to the story is because the episodes are only till 65% of the whole story. And the manga ends as the national tournament is over, plus Shohoku should've atleast reached the finals. The end of the manga looked like a rush work to me....I'd love it if Slam Dunk 2 comes out....who else agrees with me?
