“Left me demanding more.....”
Well, this anime is fantastic. Its for football fans or people who are just fond of sports. The main character is Kanou Kyosuke who dreamt of being a footballer but his dreams where halted by his older brother's successes so he gave up. However when he reached his highschool, Jyoyo Akanegaoka, this girl named Miki made him realize that he himself is a different person from his brother with an individual style. So from then on started his journey which we witness. Its full of excitement and fantastic characters with their own story to admire. Sports animes like these come once in a blue moon. As boring as my review will may make this anime seem, it actually is an anime you cant miss. However, its just 52 episodes that bugs me and the ending is shortcut, like slam dunk. I really am disappointed as I'd like to see Kyosuke's fate in the European stage and an appeanrace he'd make in the World Cup for Japan. Unlike Captain Tsubasa, this anime not only has things regarding football, its about the lives of the players, Kyosuke's tragic stories and his growing love for Miki Tsujiwaki. I'd rate it 10 overall but the ending as good as it may be, its sad and shortcut. Could and should have been a lot better.
