“Rated V for Vampire”
Well, let me just start by saying that this is DEFINITELY not for kids. It is one of the bloodiest shows I have seen yet, falling behind Trinity Blood and Blood+, but that is in no way a criticism.
The story is good, if short, following an organization of vampire hunters, Hellsing and their their employee, an absurdly powerful and centuries old vampire known as Alucard. The organization is trying to find the people who are making artificial vampires and put a stop to them, in the short time we get to see them - therein lies my only complaint - the story is just too short.
The sound is very good, with nice voice acting - I really like Alucard's voice. The opening theme (a world without logos) is a good one, one of the better that I have heard, in fact.
The characters are all interesting and the major ones go through a surprising amount of development for such a short anime. Some great lines feature in the show, as well.
In all, a great anime for someone who likes vampire horror and doesn't mind blood.
