Pani Poni Dash Review

Pani poni Dash is a parody. It’s an anime that is trying too hard to be funny… it’s trying soooo hard that it distracts the viewer and makes your head ache. It has no plot, no character development whatsoever, it’s trying too hard to be set apart as an anime…. Well guess what… it did set itself apart as the only anime to give me a head ache! When I first watched this, it was dubbed, and I liked it… I watched a few eps and then I figured why not buy the DVD right? So I bought it and then I watched it WITH subtitles, and that was when I figured that it was a pointless parody and that the dubbed version was better since it was not that distracting. I like parodies like Gintama and School Rumble, but Pani Poni was just stupid. It was absolutely pointless, I pitied Misousa (the rabbit) though. Art is uncool, it’s like a scribble of someone who just took Valium, music wasn’t even great DESPITE of the fact that the director wanted it to be amazing… I mean they have a different seiyuu for each episode to sing the opening and ending songs and it just didn’t hit me in the right place, I mean, you can’t even tell who’s singing on which episode… they all sound alike at some point. I tried to finish this anime and it took me almost a month to finish it coz I kept on putting it off but since I already had the DVD I had no choice but watch it otherwise I would realize that it was a waste of money… and it was a waste of my money…. Geez… don’t watch it unless you have a vast knowledge on anime, Japanese politics, mangaka, J-culture and J-pop…. Otherwise it’ll just suck. I warned you.
