A Cheeky Angel Review

Megumi is a self destructive 9 year old boy who saved a sorcerer from a bunch of bullies one day… then the sorcerer gave him a book which contained the genie, Pierrot and it can grant any wish he would want. Seizing the moment, Megumi wishes to become a man among men. Pierrot, who happens to be a trickster granted his wish but instead turned Megumi into a Woman among Women, pretending that he misheard the wish. In anger, Mugumi throws the book into a river, only to find out afterwards that the wish can undone after 10 years… so begins his/her search for the book while battling to keep his manly identity despite of his/her many suitors from both sexes.

A Cheeky Angel was really funny. It really had good moments especially the conclusion wherein the irony of the situation ended up being a somewhat happy but sad moment. As the anime progresses you end up thinking about which sex Megumi would fit in better… as a boy or as a girl? It’s like Ranma ½ when it boils down to it…
Art isn’t so pretty… It needs a lot of getting used to… Music is average and story and character development was also good.
