Cowboy Bebop
Set in a universe where the Earth has been deemed uninhabitable and man is forced to live in other planets, Cowboy Bebop is about a bunch of bounty hunters and their space ship Bebop. The crew of the Bebop include: Spike Spiegel, the adept martial artist, Jet Black, former police guy turned bounty hunter and Bebop owner, Faye Valentine, an amnesiac who has fascinating fighting skills, Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky 4th, a computer genius and on-board contortionist, and Ein, the intelligent dog. The anime, focuses on their different hunting expeditions as they try to catch hackers/net divers, thieves, and genetic mutations. Step into the Bebop and you’ll step into a world of funky moves, groovy music and a whole bunch of kicking and whooping adventures!

In the poll of the anime magazine Newtype Cowboy Bebop placed as #2 in the Top 25 Anime Titles of all Time. This animes popularity has also infected the US and has spawned an avid fan base, it’s popular enough that a Hollywood movie is being planned for it… nope, we hope that it wouldn’t be like the Dragonball Hollywood remake…. But the movie is scheduled this 2009…. And surprise, surprise, Spike will be played by Keanu Reeves.
Cowboy Bebop is also known for its great music, art and great character development. Each anime episode is called a “session” and each session is named after a song, an album or a music genre. It got it’s influences from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s… it’s unique mixture of pop and contemporary culture make this anime a good watch and worth adding to your collection.
