10 years ago, a mysterious field called "Hell's Gate" occurred in Tokyo, and not long after, people with superhuman abilities called Contractors appeared all over the world. Hei was one of these Contractors with ability to produce electricity at will, titled "The Black God of Death" for his reputation in relentless killing. However, when Hei and his team were stationed in Tokyo and near the "Hell's Gate", he found himself to be more special than he ever thought, even among the Contractors--so special that he could affect the whole world.
