Elfen Lied Review

At first, when I got into Elfen lied, it was only a few months ago, and I only started to watch the opening, but stopped because the nudity kind of freaked me out a little. After that, I tried to watch it again as my friend said how it was a good anime, so I watched the first episode. When I saw the arm on the floor, I was quite shocked as I didn't know this anime would be a horror. I'm into horror movies (Like Saw) and thought it was quite creepy. I did not get scared though, not through the whole episode, like I said, the nudity kinda of freaked me out a little bit, but not as much. There were some scenes that were quite funny (with Nyuu of course). I liked the fact that it actually had alot of blood in, as some animes with fighting etc. don't really have alot of blood in my opinion (especially when Naruto is dubbed - Hate that!). I was quite shocked at the end to hear about it being a love story, but it really overwhelmed me. In the end I thought it was a fantastic anime, showing negatives things in reality that's probably happening right now, and I loved the fact that it showed so much emotion with in each character. However, with that Puppy/Dog scene that Lucy used to look after when she was a little child, I had to turn away, I am against animal abuse and it really brought me to tears. In the final episode I couldn't stop crying because it was so sad. In the end, a FANTASTIC anime!
