School Rumble Review

Tsukamoto Tenma is an ordinary 2nd year high school student who has fallen in love with one of her classmates, Karasuma Ooji. However, currently she is unable to confess her feelings to him. To make things worse, she found out that Karasuma is transferring to another school in a year. On the other hand, Tenma's other classmate, Harima Kenji (who is a delinquent) is also in love with Tenma. Not being able to confess his feelings, Harima gets depressed day by day.

Just like the starting sequence this show, is fast, full of energy, and its humor is completely insane.

Defintely NOT to everyones liking.

Some may compare School rumble to the annoying comic style of a Bugs Bunny cartoon, or something similar.

I found the humor to be mostly spot on, and love tenma-chans side pigtails, that give viewers an indication of her current mood.
If they are raised, shes happy, if they are flapping up and down, shes excited, if they are drooping, she is confused or unhappy.

Harima or Higi (Bearded), has volcannic passion for Tenma, but is ill equipped to convey his feelings for her. As when someone, who loves another far too much, is crippled by nervous energy, its detrimental to the goal of making that person yours.

Tenma loves Karasuma Ooji.
Karasuma has the personality of a block of wood, so its very frustrating, that Tenma keeps ignoring the super cool Harimas advances.

Also Tenma will launch screaming 'You Pervert!' attacks on Harima from time to time, when he actually hasent dont anything to warrant such bizzare accusations.
Just being male, and 'there', seems to be a crime at times.
I really think, that comic theme has had its day, and would like to see that particular joke die a well deserved death.

On the whole, I really enjoyed most jokes.
Harimas scary Aura, Tenmas incredible stupidity etc.. is all quite funny.

Love this show, and it does not pretend to be anything its not.
Its a high school comedy romance, and never takes itself to seriously.
