Ouran High School Host Club Review

Basically, this is a typical reverse harem anime of a non-typical high school life. In this, it mocks the social status of the rich, as well as give humour to the ignorance of the amount of privilege a rich child experiences. In contrast to that of an average household.

The story bases around the Ouran High School Host Club, situated in the third music room of Ouran High School. This Host Club is a club which offers entertainment to the ladies who are bored and would like to chit chat with some 'handsome' males. The protagonist of this anime is Haruhi Fujioka, who is an average wealth nerd, who stumbles into this classroom in an attempt to find a nice place to study. She accidentally breaks a vase, thus is imprisoned to be a member of the host club, as a 'dog' (slave) at first, and then later as a host club member. Because of her cute girl face, as well as her short hair, she is mistakened as a handsome guy by the members. However, this does not bother Haruhi, as she begins to permanently working in the Host Club, to repay her debt as well as gaining new social experiences.

At first glance, it is another typical super girly girly animes where the girls would squeal and make a commotion over it. Indeed it is one of those animes, however, it too indeed made me laugh and start to enjoy the taste of Shoujo manga. Not only is the club members hot 'handsome' and attractive, they each have their own little personality to make them what they are. In addition to all that, the way they fit together and work together is all to kawaii~~ xD

Not only in Haruhi's character, but we also see the change of other characters due to the arrival of Haruhi. From being able to experience the mysterious thing called 'instant coffee' to being able to play 'commoner's games', the Host Club go on tours and trips and learn the process of socialising, acceptance of each individual being, and having a great time. It is a great anime to sit back and laugh.

One of the things I don't really understand is why is Mori-senpai (Morinozuka Takashi) a wild type? Feedback would be nice =)

What I didn't like about it was the ending. The fact that the ending separated from that of the manga, as well as that, Tamaki's personality towards the club suddenly becomes cold...which is a trait that I believe he would not do. Additionally, the Eclair annoyed me. Alot.

Despite all that, I still love the original idea of the anime, where it is able to set us in a magical fantasy world covered with red rose petals and loooovveee~~~ xD It is unique in itself and deserves admiration.
