“It Started With A Promise...”
kaoru hanabishi was on his way home one day when he stumbled upon a young woman wearing a kimono at the train station. the young girl seemed lost, and being the gentleman that he is, he offered to help her get to the place she wanted. when they got there, the young woman was disappointed to find that the place was nothing more but an empty lot. so kaoru invited her to his apartment which was nearby to have some tea. there, the young woman showed him a photograph of the person she wanted to meet. kaoru was surprised when he saw his picture as a young boy together with his childhood friend, aoi sakuraba. learning that the young man in front of her is the one she was searching for, aoi suddenly threw herself at kaoru and cried with joy. and that was the start of their story...^_^

review part...

okay...the reason why i watched this anime in the first place was because of the drawing of the characters. i loved the way the animators drew the characters, especially aoi. the very essence of innocence, beauty, fidelity, and gentleness seemd to be captured in her every move and word in the anime.

the story of the anime is also really good. i mean, i give props to aoi-san for being able to stay faithful to her beloved kaouru all those years despite the fact that their engagement were called off the moment kaoru left the hanabishi house. what i really loved about the anime is the fact that it showed a different side of the life of the rich and famous. i mean being born into a prestigious household is good and all but it isn't always like that. like what happened to kaoru at the hanabishi house. being rich isn't always what we think it is. there's a lot more to it and i think the anime showed this really well.

so far, this is probably the best romantic anime i've watched and i highly recommend it to everyone.
