“Too much talk. Mediocre Fights. Amazing Plot. Good Graphics. Imaginative.”
This show was decent, almost good.

Almost all of this anime takes place in The World. The World is a video game virtual reality, and people all over the world will "plug themselves in." The World is a moderately medieval one, much like WorldOfWarcraft. In this game, people level up there characters in differnt ways, fighting being the most common.

Essentially, the main character is Haseo. His class is: Black Adept Rogue (as referred to in the US), or Multi-Weapon (as referred to in Japan). The person who plays Haseo is a bit shy, and comes to The World as a complete noob.

Upon arriving, he is soon attacked by PK's (player killers). The leader of the Twilight Brigade, Ovan, rescues him. The Twilight Brigade is a guild, and many other guilds exist in TheWorld. The Brigade seeks to find the Key of the Twilight.

Haseo joins the Twilight Brigade. The female second-in-command, Shino, becomes a friend of his. After Ovan doesn't appear for a long time, the guild disbands. Shino is then killed by the PKer Tri-Edge.

This is the fun part. Haseo goes slightly crazy after Shino, who he holds some affection for, is killed. He becomes obsessed with the idea of protecting her, and searches for power. In a not-very-well-explained turn of events with no fight scenes, Haseo goes to the Forest of Pain, a new lost ground, and after that his appearance changes. He becomes a sinister, very powerful figure.

He becomes a PKer, and is one of the most powerful ones in TheWorld, known as the Terror of Death. Ovan eventually returns, and tells Haseo that Tri-Edge will be in certain place at a certain time. Haseo attacks him, is Data-Drained, and starts over as a level one character.

Overall, this anime left out fight scenes. Instead of just showing the scene, they would skip it and surprise you with everything being different in the next episode. That made for crappy viewing. And so the anime was all talk, no action. It definitely therefore will only please people who dislike action.
