Air Master by niniel1
“Amazing fights. Amazing Plot. A bit of "romantic" (sexual) comedy thrown in. Excellent, if differen”
I really have nothing bad to say about this anime.
For starters, let's introduce the plot. Maki Aikawa is the daughter of a world-class gymnast and a professional boxer. Her parents were not married, and her mother raised her, training her as a world-class gymnast. Her mother then died.
This traumatizes Maki. At sixteen/seventeen-ish, she is VERY tall, VERY muscular, short red-haired, and essentially kick-ass. She takes to the street, using her gymnastic skills and her powerful muscles inherited from her father to "fly" through the air. She fights for the thrill of flying, the rush of the battle, to escape her mother's death, and because she is addicted to it.
Her non-fighting life is fairly limited. She lives alone, as she does not get along with her immature father very well. Her younger sister lives with her father for most of the series. She attends school, but was fairly alone until she met her four friends. She protected them on the street when someone tried to attack them, and thus many side-plots involving them are made.
As the series goes on, she hears about the Fukamichi ratings. A select few street-fighters are chosen to battle. The videos of their fights are posted online, for the world to see. The Fighters are ranked based on who they beat and who they don't.
She participates in these battles, and eventually is led to fight against The Eternal. The Eternal is that generation's fighting master. He is slated to join the souls of the other masters.
This series is incredible. The fights are above the levels of most other fighting animes. This is on par with or even better than say, Tenjou Tenge. The fights are most assuredly better than those in Kenichi (History's Strongest Disciple.)
For the guys, there are panties, and other features draw in a scandalous fashion. For the girls, there are some hot guys. For both, the joy of seeing an amazing, strong-as-iron main character who is fantastic.
