Yu Yu Hakusho Review

Yu Yu Hakusho follows the journey of teenager Yusuke Uremeshi after he is killed saving a child from being hit by a car. After going through obstacles to get his life back, Yusuke is forced to become the new spirit detective to catch criminals from the spirit world. Yusuke is joined by tough exterior, soft-hearted Kuwabara, a trickster from the spirit world who wants to atone for his past in Kurama, a multi-eyed spirit in Hiei, and the Grim Reaper Botan in his journey.

Yu Yu Hakusho's story is great. The pacing is easy to follow, and always manages to keep you entertained. Also, the different sagas are well-written and you can logically understand what happens. The characters in this series are also one whom you grow to love. You understand each character's motivation and that helps in relating to the characters. Further, the growth exhibited by each character throughout the course of the series helps add depth to the story. Characters are not static throughout the series, but rather, you can see a change from the beginning to the end. The maturation of each of the characters can reflect something that we have each experienced.

The dubbing of this anime is superb. The material is the uncut version of Yu Yu Hakusho. The voice actors did a great job with the characters in making this believable.

In the end, this series is recommended for fans of fighting anime. However, this series has a little bit of everything for everyone, including action, comedy, and romance.
