Busou Renkin by pensuked

“Not perfect”
After Kazuki was revived by Tokiko , the alchemy warrior, with the Kakugane Kazuki gained the ability to combat Holmunculus (monsters created by alchemy ). Kazuki's life changes dramatically when he lives a double life of a student and Alchemy warrior. ("cough"Bleach"cough")

Sound: I seriously can't say much about the series' sound. I was nearly oblivous to the background music and the seiyuus just did their job , deliver words and communication. The Opening and ending theme was nothing impressive either and I didn't watch them again after seeing it once.

Animation: The animation is good. The fights are clear and flashy (that's always good xD). Even the general animation is good and I don't see any flaws but all in all it's not award winning quality.

Story: The story is like any other typical Shonen story. "boy kick ass and try to save the world". Short , simple , straighforward and fairly predictable. The biggest problem with the story is the ending which I won't spoil for you guys. let's just say the ending is bad but the conclusion is good .

Characters: There's a wide range of characters , some more interesting than others. Even though the main female and male character aren't anything special , the secondary characters are original and very likeable. Personal favourites are Captain Bravo(the man of steel) and Papillon(the perverted butterfly :P). There is a big emphasis on friendship and loyalty in this series witht the main character's friends and allies all risking their life to save Kazuki throughout the series.

Enjoyment: Alothough this series is nothing special , I couldn't find myself stop watching and I end up finish watching all 26 episodes within 3 days. In my opinion, the only boring part of the series was probably the last few episodes .

The end was NOT boring man, well the ending is kind of stupid, happy ending for every-one, but still, the last few apisodes, for me, were so good, that after I watched the 20th episode, I just had to watch the last 5 episodes. I think its one of the best anime's ever.. xD

It's easy to say that about 95% of animes are unoriginal, non-groundbreaking, and easily replaced with others. That;s just the way EVERYTHING is. Don;t pass judgement on the story and aspects of it purely based on the way it paralells with other stories.
