Fate Stay night Review

This anime series is one of the better animes in the action-fantasy-drama genres. Although at first glance at the title you would not know what kind of anime this is. It is originally made as a video game so basically it’s like an arcade game where you choose the characters with which you use to fight with. This scenario is what the story is all about. The “masters” have servants who fight for them in order to obtain the prize, which is the power of the legendary Holy Grail. The anime falls under the action, suspense, drama, and magic genre. Those interested in magic, sorcery, and wizardry would definitely want to see this themselves. Though, I would like to recommend it to the more matured audiences because the anime conatins lots of blood, death, and action. It also contains some questionable ethical behaviors portrayed by some of the characters. Some people would also be annoyed by the main character’s “protective tendencies” which leads to erratic and reckless behavior. Some people would be surprised by the twists and turns of the story especially when they get to the ending. The ending wouldn’t make the viewers happy, though it is the climax of the story.
The anime has lots of good points in it, too. There is minimal comedy or humor throughout the story but it is replaced with intense drama and suspense. There are lots of good fight scenes coupled with the characters excellent costumes (if there is one) and weapons. The viewers will get to see the mythical characters passed down through tales and legends and will get to see their “noble phantasms”. Each fighting servants has his/her own skill in combat and there is the anticipation of what the fighters will do next in combat. Together with the aforementioned action, the story also has romance and short love affairs embedded into the story. All in all, this series is good to watch and should be viewed at least once in your lifetime.
