Zoids Genesis Review

Ruuji Familon was a young village boy who had never succeeded in activating a Zoid. That was, until he helped his villagers excavate a large scale liger type Zoid from the sea. When the village came under attack by Digald soldiers Ruuji, in desperation, jumped into the Murusame Liger to defend it, however in the course of the battle the village generator -the life source of all things in and around the village - was hit by an explosion and ceased working.

In an effort to find a mechanic to fix the generator before the village dies away, Ruuji teams up with two drifters, Ra-Kan and his niece, Mii. Throughout his travels he meets many new comrades and sees first hand the tyranny of the country that calls itself Digald.

Anybody who has watched and enjoyed Zoids Chaotic Century and Guardian Force will love this series. The animation is much improved from the older series, and the underlying themes about war and invasion are very satisfying. A great return to the more serious side of Zoids battles - ones where your life is on the line.
