School Rumble Review

This series is basically about two people, Tsukamoto Tenma and Harima Kenji of class 2-C. (Note: The names are in last name, first name format) Tsukamoto has fallen in love with a guy named Karasuma Ooji but he is transferring schools in a year. On the other side of the coin you have Harima Kenji who has fallen in love with Tsukamoto. The problem is that both of them are idiots and can't confess their feelings.

Sounds like the typical school love comedy right? Wrong!!! To go along with the two hilariously idiotic main characters are a slew of supporting characters that have really unique personalities. They include Tenma's little sister Yakumo, the extremely beautiful and soft spoken freshman; Harima's older cousin Osakabe Itoko, the sexy chemistry teacher who just happens to be able to do just about anything; Sawachika Eri, one of the three beauties of class 2-C, who is also a friend of Tenma's; Suou Mikoto, another beauty of class 2-C whose beauty hides her strength, friend of Tenma's; Takano Akira, the third beauty of class 2-C, a person of few words, very perceptive, mysterious, and can figure out a situation in an instant; and many others who you'll just have to find out about by watching the series.

If School Rumble had to be compared with a similar series, the only other series that comes close to being like School Rumble would be Ouran High School Host Club. But the only similarities I see are in how random the series are. Other than that, the two veer off in different directions. So if you like Host Club then School Rumble might fit the bill.

Overall, this is a great series to watch if you're in the mood for a light hearted series that will make you breathless with laughter. Enjoy!^_^
