Ben 10 by jenni5656
“Never thought of this as an anime”
Like i said i wouldn't consider this series an anime, its more of a kids show by cartoon network to try and push products such as toys and clothing on to americas youth. The show is about Ben Tennyson is a relatable 10-year-old. He finds an alien device called the Omnitrix, a watch-like device that in it he can choose which one of ten different aliens he wants to become. He's still Ben, just transformed into an alien form with superhero powers. Ben travels over a summer with his Grandpa Max, who is an ex-plumber who were a group that used high tech devices to save the earth from evil alien invaders and hes always ready to battle aliens; and his cousin Gwen, a sassy girl who plays a key role in getting him out of tangles with her powers that she gets from an ancient book. The villains themselves take as wonderfully creative forms as Ben. They will attack, punch, throw, shoot, and do whatever it takes to stop Ben. This is no doubt great fun to watch for many kids but may be scary for kids younger than 7 as my cusin who has nightmares of aliens attacking him from watching this show. This show is incredibly boring to me, the animation is so bland and repetative. The plot is so over used in each episode its hard to stay intuned with the show. I think the basic idea of this show as in a watch that gives power is not bad, but in my opinion the creators have gone wrong with giving it all to a ten year old if it was a more mature and older super hero it probably would appeal to more of the older age group. In my opinion, Ben 10 may be a quite interesting show for kids, but for the more mature viewers it doesn't have much to offer.

If you want you want to see it with a an 'older age group' then watch Ben 10 - Alien Force which jumps to 5 yrs later when they are teens and has a bit darker feel and more of an 'Anime Style' to the animation, but is still american made and therefore not anime.
